While discussing this series during an interview in March 2021, Linnea Quigley was asked if she believes in the paranormal and she said no. She then added, "Only because I've never experienced it. Unless I experience something, I can't really believe in it. My dad was a doctor, so I have a really scientific type of attitude. It's like, 'well this could be caused by this or that,' and I'm skeptical. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but I'm skeptical."
Popular veteran scream queen Linnea Quigley decided to host this series because she not only loves horror, she is also a big fan of true crime docudramas like Unsolved Mysteries (1987) and Forensic Files (1996). She said during an interview, "Anything that's got some truth to it, I'm really into. I'm a nonfiction person."
