The author Ken Wakui was a gang member before writing the series, which is the inspiration for the Tokyo Manji Gang.
The Manji symbol is a common one in Buddhism, but was censored in some broadcasts outside of Japan due to it's resemblance to a Nazi Swatstika (albeing in reverse)
Based on an action suspense shounen manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. It was serialized in Kodansha's Shounen manga magazine Weekly Shounen Magazine from March 2017 to November 2022, with its chapters collected in 31 tankobon volumes.
