This show has romance. It has comedy. And it has several elements that makes it stand out in comparison to other anime romcoms out there:
Artstyle, animation and soundtrack are decent, although not too memorable. The design choice to differentiate the characters mainly by their bright and colourful hair colour is a little lazy. But it illustrates one of the issues this show has quite well: While the first half of the show focuses a great deal on the two main characters and the development of their relationship, storytelling takes a weird turn around the middle of the first season.
Fortunately the last two episodes seem to focus more on the original strengths of the show and bring it to a deserved closure. What remains is an impression of a beautiful anime with a wholesome start and a fair share of wasted potential - unfortunately. It is good. But could have been better.
- The pace of the romantic elements and building of emotional intimacy between the main characters is unusually fast. It focuses less on the curiosity and the first steps towards each other and more on the fostering and maintenance of the relationship.
- The protagonists are initially portrayed in a rather mature way and don't fondle too much in childish silliness.

- Unrelatable side characters are getting a lot of screentime. Unlike the protagonists, they do not achieve any kind of meaningful character development and their stories seem really inconsequential for the whole picture.
- During the little screen time the main characters get, their relationship takes some weird turns and develops some borderline abusive elements that hardly relate to their personalities. It's being hinted towards this being some kind of fetish or kink, although at this stage of their relationship it seems really awkward - especially being displayed in public.

After I finished the Anime Series, For the first time in my life I decided to read the Manga. The Characters and their interactions was so good, but Anime left me with lots of questions. After reading the manga, I fell in love with this story. This is one of the shows that makes you think how incredible would it be if you could have been in it's world. I am not giving it a 10 because I honestly didn't want the story to end like that. I just want to see Hori and Miyamura continue their lives, and how their relationship will evolve after school...
Just watch this, you will be able to experience emotions that maybe you could not have experienced otherwise!

This is so well made that despite the fact that nothing exciting happens I cant get enough of it. One of my favourite anime series.
This could very well be my favorite anime. I enjoyed the manga a lot but the anime adaptation is phenomenal as well. The animation is gorgeous, the art style leaves me speechless. Honestly props to the studio

This anime has potential to be among the best romantic slice of life anime, we have to wait until the end of this season.

Imo this is probably the best rom com out there currently and this is totally a perfect 10/10 anime... the best part about it is how it respects the phrase 'rom com' meaning i like how it is satisfyingly 50% romance and 50% comedy it has. Also how freaking cute and wholesome this anime is! There isn't any cringey drama, unnecessary love triangles, crappy fanservice, etc. just pure wholesomeness. The episodes just make me curious what happens next and force me into reading the manga

But, so far it's just as good as the manga, so if things continue, we're in for a treat

After a promising start, the plot becomes a complete mess. Numerous subplots and characters are introduced, often only to be dropped completely or barely mentioned again after only half an episode. In addition, the characters behave increasingly stupid, so that it hurts to watch. Further the dialogues are getting more and more unnatural and weird. In the end I was just happy that it was finally over.

The music is bad and they also abusing the music. For example they are using sad music in the fun scence.

Directed by Mr. Masashi Ishihama "Horimiya" is
an average show with neat animation and a
good background score. The show starts out
well but then the plot gets completely messy.
Although the main protagonists of the show should be Hori and Miyamura, the focus shifts from them to other characters and then back to the main characters which is annoying.
According to me, the only proper character- development in the show is of the character of Miyamura as his troubled past and transformation was shown properly. On the other hand, the other main character Hori's character (according to me) is too strange and totally unrealistic. Also, the unnecessary characters introduced totally did not make an impact on me. The 'love' between Hori and Miyamura seems nothing but attraction.

Kyoko Hori a very beautiful and attractive teen girl meets this boy called Izumi who seems like a punk at first but they develop feelings for each other as the anime goes along.
I enjoyed this anime overall it was funny yet cute at sametime and even emotional.
Not really much to say here other then, check it out it's really fun to watch.

In this series there is a 2nd main character other then hori who is being a loner but after some time he became a great guy that's means having friends male or female both , a girlfriend got a perfect personality as every guy wants .
But there are some seans where he admit that his loner side that he gave up asking to be dead. So it's being so heartfelt that watching this movie I felt like I have two characters also one of him is a guy supercool guy with so many friends a romanticized heart but the other hand a loner side is there where he is a loser and he needs to get die .
That's felt hard.

I LOVED the way that this anime portrays love, and i got really attached to most of their characters, my only complain is that the main characters deserved a lot more screen time, there are a lot of subplots which in one side give depth to the side characters but the problem with it is that those backstories/subplots never cross with each other, so it feels more like i am watching a lot of different animes on the same universe rather than one anime with multiple aspects to it, all this nonsense content gets annoying because you really want more of the main characters but you just don't get it, so at the end of the anime you feel like you are still missing something even tho it was pretty good.

This anime is just like any slice of life anime but with two super cringe main characters. Everyone but them are likable. Really even Miyamura is likable but when they weren't in an abusive relationship. Kyoko always comes off shallow except for when they are with their sibling. Her having to be an adult fast because of neglectful parent may justify why she sees unhealthy patterns as romantic. We don't get to see Miyamuras family like but what we get is that he's a helpful kid who got bullied in school. This could be why he is a people pleaser. Overall it's definitely not a memorable anime in any way. According to the streaming service I use I've seen this once before but since I couldn't remember anything about it I tried again. Yeah it's a waste of time but meh it's good background noise being that there is no real story to be told.

The first 7 episodes were phenomenal; the pacing, the development, everything. But after that it kind of lost its touch. It focused too much on side characters that, in the end, didnt even have payoff. Honestly it couldve been 9 episodes, and it wouldve been perfect. Animation is great, writing is great, but left me disappointed, and it kinda felt like a chore watching past episode 7. I feel like this is the sweet spot though in terms of high school romances, not too bloated with little progression like Toradora, and not a bad ending like The Angel Next Door Spoils Me. But i would still prefer Toradora, as the side characters were more included, and the ending was better.

There are a lot of things I do like about Horimiya. Some of the relationships are more real than usual and you can partly believe that they are real teenagers. I did not find the series that entertaining and for that I am a bit dissapointed. I felt that Horis kink for being manhandled and talked down to were just sad and is not a good thing to add in an anime aimed at teenagers that they are supposed to be able to connect to.

I watched 5 episodes but can't see anything interesting more to continue now.
There is nothing too special in this just another anime where a loner gets a girlfriend from nowhere even through they have quite opposite natures. I don't understand how it enter top 5 most rated romance animes.

I couldn't think of how to start this off. I only rate anime and I don't read manga often, if I ever do so I have no other background knowledge or comparison. Anyways, this anime has earned a spot in my top 10 favorites, and this means a lot to be able to get there. I can't specify how many times I laughed or actually felt a connection or reaction to scenes and moments. All of the characters were likeable and I enjoyed all of the characters to the highest degree. I think that this was a thought out and well planned anime. The animation was great, I loved the soundtrack (as in every anime for me) And I cannot think of a single problem with this. It was a great anime and well worth my time spent watching it and I will be watching it again in the future.
