For Jonathan Van Ness, best known as the grooming expert within Queer Eye’s Fab Five, the summer of 2019 came with mixed emotions. Seeing the Netflix reality series pick up six more Emmy nominations was, of course, cause for celebration. Just two months earlier, though, the pop culture aficionado said goodbye to HBO’s Game of Thrones, a series he and millions of others had loved—and with it, his Funny or Die short-form series Gay of Thrones—the combination of which was a somber affair.
With Queer Eye, Van Ness saw his life transform overnight, going from a celebrity hairstylist to an international celebrity, working on multiple fronts as a TV personality, author, political activist, and influencer. What some may not realize, though, is that Gay of Thrones was the project that put Van Ness on the map. Coming together five years before Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot, the...

Before there was Mukkabaaz, Zoya Hussain starred in a very special independent film. Directed by Dar Gai, Teen Aur Aadha, which is screening at the London Indian Film Festival, narrates the story of one house, which exists in three different eras. In Zoya’s time line, twenty years later from the first story, the house is now a brothel. Teen Aur Aadha takes a look at a time in Zoya’s character’s sex worker life.
Stacey caught up with the wonderful Zoya to talk about her theater beginning, the fun of playing this role, what it is like to shoot in one long take and what is next for the actress.
Was acting something you always wanted to do?

Nicki Minaj has a new album coming this Summer, which means we'll likely be hearing a lot more from the outspoken rapper ahead of the Aug. 10 release. The Barbie Tingz emcee is ramping up her promotional trail by gracing the July cover of Elle magazine, and inside she's opening up about everything from working with famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to her current relationship status after recently teasing a romance with fellow rapper Eminem.
"I remember feeling like I could do anything at one time in my life and somewhere along the line, I just started second guessing myself for whatever reason," Nicki revealed to the outlet. "As soon as I realized that I could actually live and breathe, and eat and sleep, and walk and talk, without having a boyfriend, something clicked in me. Becoming single was one of the things that made me feel strong and powerful."

He began his acting career with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s epic Mirzya and his performance in the double role impressed audiences and critics. Now, Harshvardhan Kapoor is taking on another challenging role in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
Though titled Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, the film is not strictly a superhero movie, it is more of a vigilante drama about righting wrongs and finding the hero within yourself. The movie traces the journey of an ordinary young man’s personal crusade against the system. While doing so, he discovers that he’s destined for something much bigger.
In a wonderful and insightful interview, Harshvardhan talks about Bhavesh Joshi Superhero including working with director Vikramaditya Motwane, what was so challenging about this role and what he thinks is the coolest thing about this film.
What would you say draws you to play your characters?
I think it is just how I feel about the writing.

The Beatles were the first to popularise backmasking, a technique in which backwards sound is added to tracks that are designed to played forwards. The Beatles originally used the process to hide humourous messages in their songs, a trend followed by a number of popular artists since.
Backmasking has been a controversial topic in the past, with some Christian groups claiming that it’s been used to hide subliminal Satanic messages. This has led to anti-backmasking legislation being proposed, record-burning protests being held, and countless hours being spent by adolescents rewinding their tape decks and record players.
These days, backmasking is mainly used to hide little easter eggs in songs, often with a reference to other works, or for comedic effect. Of course, there’s also some hidden messages that are so bizarre, not even the original artists have managed to explain them properly.

One of the most impressive things about "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" is how it feels like they've reset the entire series to a point, and they can now tell any story they want again with any of the characters they've used so far without worrying about continuity issues. It is amazing to realize that they've been working with the same cast and many of the same people behind the camera for fourteen years now. Not many series can pull off that sort of longevity without having to shake everything up completely, and yet it looks like Hugh Jackman is signing another deal to keep playing Wolverine and now the series has a second wind with some of the hottest new stars in Hollywood including Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence. I reached out to Lauren Shuler-Donner and Simon Kinberg and asked them if we could sit down and discuss the series,...

I interviewed "Undateable" executive producer Bill Lawrence and Adam Sztykiel at a noisy bar in Pasadena shortly before a press conference in mid-April. Going back and transcribing the 35-minute interview is bittersweet. At the time, Lawrence had two shows in limbo -- TBS' "Cougar Town" and Fox's newly premiered "Surviving Jack," which he EPed along with creators Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker. While Lawrence wasn't directly involved with "Enlisted," he has a close relationship with "Enlisted" and "Cougar Town" creator Kevin Biegel, whose comedy was newly shelved. Since that time, "Enlisted" and "Surviving Jack" were both cancelled. "Cougar Town" was renewed for a final season on TBS. At the time, Lawrence also wasn't feeling especially confident about "Undateable." The multi-cam sitcom, which features Chris D'Elia as seemingly cocksure ladies man Danny, who mentors the less confident Justin (Brent Morin) and his group of allegedly "undateable" friends. "Undateable" had been...

Everyone wants to be part of the X-Men. Wait, I retract that. Everyone wants to have sweet superpowers. Everyone. The most unrealistic thing in the X-Men universe is that mutants are feared instead of constantly fighting off a barrage of people screaming, "Oh my God! You can fly!? Show me! Wait, let me Vine this!" So the most shocking thing about inventor Colin Furze is that it took this long for society to produce someone like him. A self-proclaimed garage inventor, Furze laughs in the face of science-fiction and turns into into science fact with the ease of your grandmas knitting you a sweater. Complete with love in every compressed air propulsion. With 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' on the forefront of every geek's mind, Furze has been hard at work making all our mutant power dreams come true. First with his completely functional Wolverine claws. And then with his space-age Magneto boots.

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams – also known as “The Queen of Vine” — has mastered the much-harder-than-it-looks art of the six-second viral video (check out her profile). Below, the 17-year-old actress gives four tips for making epics Vines — and we’ve added a few helpful examples:
1. Speak fast: “Speak quickly, but still be understandable. I speak quickly, and some people can’t understand me, so I write what I said in the description box, especially since I have a lot of fans who do not speak English as their first language.”
2. Don’t try to be funny (but be funny): “People say ‘be funny.

Will confesses to Nick’s murder. Ari doesn’t approve.
Brady’s chest always fascinates me. Those nipples follow you wherever you go.
So Gabi is doing a fashion shoot … at the club? And with Daniel’s photographer doppelganger. Seriously, at first I thought it was Daniel, but this guy doesn’t have the herpes on his lip. Uh -oh, the male model she’s supposed to be posing with hasn’t shown up. Good thing Ben is sitting in the corner.
Victor tells Sonny “If you needed someone killed, why didn’t you come to me?” Meanwhile, Will confesses to Hope, who tells him to shut up til he has a lawyer. Abe comes in, and reads him his rights.
Victor says Sonny made a fatal mistake, he used the wrong gun, and it was a collector’s item. They’ll trace the bullets back to the gun in no time.

On March 2nd, the best films of 2013 took home trophies at the Academy Awards, but during his post-Oscars show, Jimmy Kimmel imagined a few films that never quite made it to the big screen. He debuted four fake trailers inspired by some of the most famous viral videos in YouTube history and loaded with star talent. Each of the four films focuses on a specific YouTube smash hit. There's Ameowadeus, a mashup of 'Keyboard Cat' and Amadeus; Sweet Brown: Ain't Nobody Got Time For That, which turns its titular video into a comedy film; Bitman Begins, a gritty reboot of 'Charlie Bit My Finger'; and David After Dentist Double Rainbow Oh My God! in 3D, a send-up of indulgent Baz Luhrmann movies that parodies a pair of beloved viral videos. Kimmel's post-Oscars show is known as a star-studded affair, and its four spoof trailers each feature all-star casts. Among other highlights,...

As we wrap our coverage of X-men: Days Of Future Past from last summer’s set visit in Montreal, we save one of the best and most informative interviews for last. Lauren Shuler Donner has built as successful career and reputation for producing some of Hollywood’s top grossing flicks, including two of my favorite classics Pretty In Pink and St. Elmo’S Fire. Although her name has been attached to to a whole slew of other hits, Shuler-Donner hit the jackpot after attaching her herself to the X-men franchise, which have grossed over 3 billions worldwide to date.

Heavy breathing, hammering heart and outrageous enthusiasm in the form of tiny little squeals were just some of the things I experienced right after receiving a text from my editor last summer asking me If I was available and wanted to attend a set visit for Xmen. Umm, let’s not kid ourselves. Considering the film has an amazing all-star A-list cast and the prequel, First Class is pretty kick-ass, naturally it was a no-brainer. However, when I discovered Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman and James McAvoy would be filming on set that day. I jumped on the chance like a cheetah on its prey.

When I was but a teen, I remember sitting on my couch watching Ryan and Marissa’s first kiss on The O.C. I had no idea my mother was standing in the corner of the room until I heard, “Oh My God! That is the best kiss Ever!!” Suddenly, I had to rewind the scene to see what the heck she was talking about.

They leave on a helicopter and the girls freak out. Uh, was there a production assistant just off-screen poking at them with an electrified cattle prod?...

Now it turns out to be some metaphorical fantasy and that’s cool too. It makes the film beautiful in addition to being awesome.

10:34 - Excellent montage,...
10:39 - Well with that, I'm going to make like Anne's sense of style and leave for the night. Thank each and every one of you for joining me on this journey through laughter, tears and awkward Justin Timberlakes. I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my birthday or a better bunch of knuckleheads to share it with. Good night!
10:38 - Yeah, you Will stop your music for tiny bald man!

This is a Recap of Top Chef D.C. (Season 7), Episode 12, entitled “Gastro-Nauts”, originally airing September 1, 2010. I was out of this world galaxy space moon asteroid quasar surprised by the outcome of this week’s episode. It’s the last episode before the Finale, so it’s time to ditch the painful food puns and gimmicky challenges and get to some real cooking… …Or maybe it’s time to the most do those things. Before we get to the supergimmick, it’s Quickfire time, and this week the chefs welcome Dana Corwin of Food & Wine magazine by saying how much attention they pay to wine. Wine is one of Angelo’s biggest passions, obviously, because he’s kind of a D-bag. This is also the final high-stakes Quickfire, and the winner gets to go to London for 6 days courtesy of the London Hilton. Angelo wins the wine challenge, obviously, because...

TBS is hoping to heat things up this summer with its new animated series Neighbors From Hell (premiering tonight, 10 p.m. Et). The series follows a family of demons attempting to fit in amongst the “normal” residents of Texas suburbia, and features the voices of Molly Shannon, Patton Oswalt, and Will Sasso. Funnylady Shannon recently spoke to EW about the evilness of her character Tina Hellman, her Saturday Night Live homecoming, and her guest spot on Glee. (Glee writers take note: We want Brenda Castle back for season two!).

Clive and Elsa (Adrein Brody and Sarah Polley) are both bio-genetic scientist who are on a mission to create a specific protein by splicing together the DNA of different species. Their endgame is to hopefully create a protein that will help facilitate in finding a cure for several human diseases. Both Clive and Elsa protest the decision made by the suits to move on to the next phase of the project and take experimental matters into their own hands. They conduct another splicing experiment by introducing human DNA into the multi-species DNA cocktail. The results aren’t quite what they planned for and needless to say, it all gets a bit twisted from there.
Splice is a big neon sign for scientists of what not to do. Is it far fetched? Sure it is. What sci-fi movie isn’t on some level. But with the advances in science and the whole cloning issue,...

Lady GaGa has praised Taylor Swift's talent as a songwriter but admitted she feels "embarrassed" when singing her songs. In an interview with Show Studio, she insisted that she can't help herself from singing along to Swift's 'You Belong With Me' and has said that it's a "great" song. GaGa said: "I don't want to hurt her feelings, because she's lovely. That Taylor Swift song? 'You Belong With Me'? Oh my God! When it comes on the radio, I sing it (more)...

This weekend, Marmaduke bounds onto over 3,700 screens at 3,213 theaters, Killers hits around 3,300 screens at 2,859 theaters, Get Him to the Greek takes the stage on approximately 3,200 screens at 2,696 theaters, and Splice is unleashed on close to 2,600 screens at 2,450 theaters. None of these four nationwide releases have the air of an event, and Shrek Forever After may have enough juice left in it to spend a third weekend at the top spot. Shrek 4's grosses over the past few days have been nearly on par with Shrek the Third, which generated $28 million in its third weekend. The broadest new release, Marmaduke, seems to have the most bankable pedigree, being the latest entry in the popular talking-animal family comedy sub-genre. It's also positioned on the same post-Memorial Day time period that's seen such highly successful releases as Up, Kung Fu Panda, Cars and Finding Nemo. Recent talking-animal hits include the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies,...

For the past month, HuffPost has hosted an array of respondents -- including spiritual leaders, world leaders, personalities and celebrities -- who are asked to fill in the blank for the statement: God is... The series led up to and accompanied the November 13 opening of the documentary Oh My God? **** God is a word we use to describe the Ultimate Reality. All language about God is metaphorical, given that, I agree with Ringo Star who says at the end of the film Oh My God? that "God is Love". Now let me tell you what I mean by Divine Love. I am convinced that built into our DNA is a moral law, and that law can best be described as love that goes out of itself to create. This moral law in us is remnant of our own creation. That...

Who Is Kk Downey? - DVD Review
There is such a need to become famous nowadays.
When you break it down, fame isn’t really a commodity that can be stored away, saved for later, or preserved. It’s fleeting when and if it happens and it is gone just as quickly. What makes this movie such a delight is its meditation on the nature of fame but it does so with the kind of obnoxiousness that requires a humorist’s touch.

Beyond red Kabbalah bracelets and the ever-present “thank you’s” at awards ceremonies, there is often little room for celebrity and religion to mingle in the spotlight.
In filmmaker Peter Rodger’s visual odyssey of a documentary, Oh My God?, however, celebrities including Hugh Jackman, Ringo Starr and Seal get the chance to speak honestly about their personal views of God and the great beyond.
“If I’m constantly reminded by those access points, then I need look no further,” Seal says candidly in the film, referring to his wife, model Heidi Klum, and their four children.

Hugh Jackman made a fan faint when he kissed her. The 'Australia' actor decided to pay the woman - who works as a switchboard operator for Us TV programme 'The Tonight Show' - a surprise visit after he discovered she wasn't allowed to leave her post to meet him when he appeared on the show.
Her friends told Hugh - who was voted the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine last year - it was her birthday, so he crept up behind her whispered "Happy Birthday" and then kissed her on the neck.
The girl immediately span round, but upon coming face-to-face with her idol she turned bright red and fainted in his arms.
According to National Enquirer magazine, Hugh screamed: "Oh My God! Somebody help me! I think she has fainted!"...
