Alka Kubal later reprized the character in Kalubai Pavli Navsala (2009) and TV serial Aai Maji Kalubai which was also produced by her.
While shooting for the film when Alka Kubal would come dressed as a goddess on set.The village women would start worshiping her and perform ritual.Alka Kubal would then had to calm them down saying that she is a human being like them and not goddesses.
Alka Kubal had not expected that film would be such a big hit and character would get stuck to her.
Alka Kubal had declined the film as it was a short role.She felt she would only been seen dressed as goddess in few scenes.As the story focused on lead actress Nanda Shinde.But she changed her mind when she was told that in between the scenes she will appear as a normal human being.
