The seven stars, normally 3.5 out of 5, means I think it is okay, but it could have been better or 4 because I really liked Czech and Slovakia. I am absolute Hetalia fan, but this season felt a little short. I liked the beginning, I was introduced to Czech and Slovakia, love the new characters. Portugal's introduction felt less grand.
I am not spoiling the last episodes, just how I felt about it. And the last couple of episodes, I was really excited, but they were unsatisfying and left me disappointed. I was was like "Come on that's it, your not gonna end it with at least a crack-up episode, besides with Austria's evil Santa, I already knew about." The specials were meh. Darn, I was really hoping, the New Year's special would be the Hetalia characters including America on a game show, but nope, I was wrong.

I got bored immediately.
For the few unaware of what Hetalia is: it refers to "Italia" or "Italy", and is a comedy involving personifications of nations which deal with each other playing without PC with the stereotypes we all have of each other.
I liked the first series. But it was quite original and my tastes and eco-socio-political understanding since then are a little more sophisticated (and still I don't think I watched all of it).
As far as I remember it was more cringy than actually funny but clever and entertaining as a result.
This time the first episodes seem focused on the group of G8 (world stars? Lol) but with few other (new?) nations being included.
For those who have never watched the series I suggest they go to the original "Axis powers". For the others: it's not dumb entertainment and I guess there is some depth hidden behind the various jokes/situations (for those willing to look for it). Still I find my time better spent doing something else.
