An adaptation that welcome its audience with common but accurate conflicts and heartfelt conclusion. Ifa & Eddie provided nice hospitalities to see and feel during the show. Great ensemble cast gave satisfying performances to define the importance of family.
There might be nothing extraordinary with the plot. But the amazing cast and refined direction from Ifa Ifansyah and Eddie Cahyono made the film so impressive.
With a down-to-earth narrative and natural emotional arrangement, the film feels warm, touching, and at the same time comforting.
Watching Losmen Bu Broto feels like coming home and embracing the warmth of a family. Not perfect (well, no family is), but gives a solid sense of pleasantness.

Outstanding performance, even if it means it is simple but very impressive. I loved it, my mom loved it, my dad loved it, my whole family loved it, definitely recommended to watch with family and friends.

I'm so late to watch this heartwarming film, but it's truly beautiful. This family drama tackles simple issues but executes them brilliantly, likely because it's supported by Indonesia's top actors. The acting and dialogue feel completely natural. The Javanese-Indonesian accents perfectly capture the Yogyakarta vibe.
The cinematography is absolutely stunning, a real treat for the eyes from start to finish. The accompanying music is no less interesting, authentic Javanese music to pop music. The ending is warm, happy, and satisfying. A work that successfully touches the heart and brings happiness to its audience.

Competently made and acted, but Ifa Isfansyah and Eddie Cahyono's modern take on 'Losmen Bu Broto' is mostly too schmaltzy for its own good. There are too many story threads and conflicts in this film, which makes it feel a little convoluted. Putri Marino's subtle performance and the movie's eye-popping art direction stand out. Too bad they're not enough to support the weight of the rest of the movie.
