Actor Janicke Askevold's first feature film, Together Alone (In Norwegian: Sammen alene) is almost a chamber drama about two women who have known eachother all their life. At least they brag about it, and enough to know each other's secrets.
When they bring their boyfriends to spend a summer weekend together in an idyllic country house along the Norwegian coast, trouble starts.
We sense that their friendship isn't the best anymore, and when they are confronted with each other's secrets and the choices they have made in life, it becomes quite obvious they have grown apart.
People living together with secrets and hatred. When alcohol comes into the picture, the world may fall apart.
Well made, quite well acted, but not a very important movie.
