The series is based on the French comic series "Les blagues de Toto". However, this isn't the first time the comics have been adapted; there was another series entitled Toto Trouble (2010) in 2010 and a feature film in 2020.

It is very faithful to the source material unlike the 2020 film and 2010 series. The characters themselves are likable to some extent. The animation is more fluid like jelly and also teaches relatable life lessons to kids.
