This is a very odd short film and I am very surprised that I saw it posted along with a few hundred other short films on IMDb. That's because unlike the other films, this one looks like it was made by hospital staff to be shown to classmates of children who have been severely burned. This is not the typical independent short!
As far as conveying the message that kids are still kids and you need to understand what happened and accept them, the movie does a great job. Using actual burn victims who have gone through the treatment process was a good idea, as was showing the more severely burned kids later in the film once the viewer has come to accept the normality of the situation. Exceptionally well made and effective, this film also is bound to make your eyes a bit teary, as it is difficult to see these kids and not have it touch your heart.
