Remove some unnecessary filmy scenes; cop intro scene, cop's past etc could trim this to 90 mins and would be excellent.

Story begins with a body being found on a mountain and starts strong with Manoj doing justice to the role from the beginning.
Prachi's expressions are a distraction and little too much for the role....even when she is in the frame but not the main point of focus!
Some loopholes in the story and could have been tied better.
Overall a good one time watch...

SILENCE is the story regarding the investigation of a mysterious murder of a girl. Some of the scenes are like watching Sony's CID. So the movie could have been edited very well. Some comedy scenes worked, most of them didn't. Except Manoj and Arjun other actors were mainly there for reactions.
The moments of revealing the mystery was really good. If you have seen so many murder mysteries before you'll understand many things before of it's reveal. But the positive thing is that you can't guess the killer. So, overall it's just a NORMAL MURDER MYSTERY.
Available on Zee5 Premium.

Kept an amazing suspense throughout the movie... Acting was amazing... Good movie to watch.. It does have some profanity but that's about it.. No nudity... Can watch with family if profanity is not an issue... A decent 7.5 for this movie...

Manoj Bajpai performed his part brilliantly as a Cop and even gave a glimpse of layers to his character which the director didn't bother to explore. Every casting was near perfect with actors such as Shishir Sharma,Denzel Smith,Sohaila Kapur ,Arjun Mathur who have proven their mantle time and again. Also Prachi Desai and Sahil Valid both had characters trimmed to a level where it felt that they were exploited by the director due to a grudge held against them. The story is good too and with proper treatment and justice to the characters would have resulted in a nice edge of the seat movie to watch. This one deserves a watch only for Bajpai's flawless acting and an improperly cooked but very potent script.

It is too predictable. Even the biggest twist in the end, they just give it to you 10 mins before they reveal it and how stupid it is for the main culprit to go to police station instead of going to the airport. I was excited to see Prachi shine in this but her role is mediocre and does nothing impactful. Manoj Bajpai is good but this story is nothing that you have not seen before. Honestly felt like I watched a CID regular episode. Actually they should have made it an episode instead of giving us 2 hours long movie.

The script of the movie was decent but the production values and acting by everyone including Manoj Bajpaee at best was just about average.
What saved the movie to an extent was its editing, its length and its good script.

Crime Plot is extremely simple that was stretched out like a chewing gum. I have seen more intriguing stories on the Crime Patrol series. Overacting galore with absurd circumstances. Prachi Desai looked out of place as an investigating officer. Manoj Bajpai was ok in his usual eccentric style.
It is a decent murder mystery which keeps you hooked till the end. Manoj Bajpayee as usual does not disappoints us no matter which role he plays. Keeps setting new bemchmarks. Prachi Desai, Salil vaid are good as supporting cast. No nudity, so you can watch with your family.
You will enjoy and it will always keep you guessing the killer.

It would have been good had they kept speed of the frames matched to a commercial film rather than a telefilm.

This film, true to its name, is a highly entertaining whodunit that will keep you guessing till the very end.
It starts off with the high profile murder of a woman who is the daughter of a retired judge & how a team of cops lead by Manoj Bajpai put together, different pieces of the jigsaw puzzle to unravel the mystery.
If you have seen and liked Daniel Craig's "Knives Out", you will definitely enjoy this one. You will watch in rapt attention as the needle of suspicion moves from one suspect to another before the murderer is finally caught.
The story is fast paced, coupled with an awesome performance by Monoj Bajpai makes it a great weekend watch. The guy has made it a habit of delivering solid performances time and again for sure!!
Except for few times where cuss words are used, this is a decently clean film which is a rarity these days.
The film stays true to the script and delivers a knockout punch in all departments without any "Shor Sharaba", focusing only on the hard facts and evidences available to solve the case.
This film has great content & an awesome ensemble of actors that will definitely make it worth your while!!
Go for it !!... Adios🙂

They have tried to twist the plot of this movie to make the climax full of suspense and thriller, and have failed miserably at it. I give 5 stars only for my man Manoj, who should read scripts carefully before signing. Very bad screenplay and lame jokes.

Manoj Vajpei always refers killer as "he" throughout the movie. I figured out the story early in the movie. And of course it's an Indian movie so there would be "love angle."
Direction: 7/10 Story: 6 Acting: 7 Dialogues: 6 Sound and Music: 7 Satisfying Ending: 8.

The limited series - silence fails to make a good show despite good show cast like manoj Bajpayee. The Story is good but narrated quite predictably so doesn't make a thrilling experience.
The casting and picturization is good though and it's one Time watchable.

I was waiting for this movie & expecting it could be great murder mystery. There is not doubt that movie is good & keep you hooked till end but there are loopholes in the movie that spoils the plot & unfortunately you can guess the murderer before Manoj . So it could be a great murder mystery if little bit more work has been done on plot.

A group of young trekkers finds Pooja's dead body on their trail. The corpse is a day old and bears a blunt injury mark at the back of her head - a decadent there's no other blood splatter nearby. Basically, Pooja must have been murdered elsewhere and her body dumped in the wilderness, just to cover up the crime and lead investigators astray. A reluctant ACP Avinash Verma (Manoj Bajpayee) who is happy solving narcotic related crimes is entrusted to find the murderer by Pooja's distraught father, a retired judge who places innate faith in the former's capability notwithstanding the opposition from the Mumbai Police Commissioner. It's not an easy task as there are no clues available - how did Pooja, who was staying overnight at her friend Kavita's place die, who is responsible for the gruesome murder and how did the corpse reach the spot so far away from the city. Avinash puts together a cracking team of investigators and sets about a fact finding mission, racing against time and some antagonistic people who make his task difficult. Committed Avinash is, he has to find the criminal, but every time he comes close to the truth, something goes missing. He has his eyes set on Ravi Khanna (Arjun Mathur), Pooja's friend Kavita's husband as the most likely murderer - he is influential, politically active, and insolent, but Ravi has a strong alibi, and to make matters worse, Kavita is comatose after falling from the stairs of her house since the day of Pooja's murder. Does Kavita hold the key to solving the crime and is Ravi the culprit, is the matter macabre of Silence.
It is a taut and polished thriller with suspense galore. Manoj Bajpayee is solid in his performance, ably supported by Prachi Desai, Vaquar Shaikh, and Sahil Vaid. Arjun Mathur is uncannily composed on the face of adversity and you don't find out until the very last minute who the real culprit is, in spite of all the red herrings thrown your way. There are some unnecessary characters introduced in a bid to hype up the action and excitement, but a little detour from the theme does no harm. Silence is quite riveting, and we lap up the murder saga that turns out to be a crime of passion in the end - it's difficult to fathom the real cause of the crime and the involvement of people who apparently have had nothing to do with the victim.
