Jahnabi (Aditi) is an average sweet girl in an upper-middle-class family. The story is about her life and the struggle between love and duty. Anand Abhyankar of Munna Bhai fame plays the role of Jahnabi's father. Jahnabi lives with her family comprising her grandparents, parents, older brother and younger sister. The entire family is a close-knit one and the children have been taught to be well-mannered and expressive. The oldest son, Nandan, lives and works in America.
