There are multiple versions of the Legendary Lady of the Lake with TV shows and novels in abundance. The Lake hits the top ten lists of haunted and dangerous lakes in the US. Hundreds of souls have perished since beyond living memory. I loved the real life on-site filming that reflects the writer/Director having grown up in the shadows of the Princess. The locations are real and can be seen today.
The cinematography includes sunrises and sunsets that capture the Lake's erie beauty. Photograph's of this lake's beauty can be found at the Facebook Group "Love The Lake". Amazing how these scenes play out daily in the middle of one of the most densely populated suburban areas in the world.
The real horror in the movie is the reality of those left behind when the lonely lovelorn princess hugs another soul for eternity. To lose a child, sibling, parent, cousin, friend, and neighbor so suddenly is an unfathomable despair that some never rise above. The Horror, the horror.
One word of advice to those who walk the lake, don't pick up a hat on the beach!
