Anime Expo 2023 brought exciting news for DC and anime fans by announcing a new Isekai anime series, Suicide Squad Isekai. The acclaimed Wit Studio produces this groundbreaking series in collaboration with Warner Bros. Japan is set to bring beloved characters from DC Comics Suicide Squad into a new animated realm.

Eri Osada, celebrated for her work as Jujutsu Kaisen’s chief animation director, is steering the helm of this highly anticipated project. Osada is joined by character design leads Akira Amano, recognized for their work on Psycho-Pass, and Naoto Hosoda. The screenplay will be crafted by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, both known for their remarkable job on the original anime series Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song.
