It's clear how much love, sweat, and care went into the creation of this warm, funny, classic buddy adventure movie. The performances by the young actors are especially spot-on and genuine, but everyone brought life to each character and got me so invested in their storylines! There really is something relatable for everyone in this little film. You'll fall in love with the canine lead too, she delivered her lines flawlessly and with so much expression. Rent this now for a good laugh, a little smut, a dose of adventure, and a generous helping of feel-good vibes. Recommended for viewers 12-120.
You're Out! Is a thoroughly entertaining, hilarious movie with great messages throughout. You'll laugh along as two dads take their sons on an adventure filled road trip to try to get them into the best college baseball program, learning about themselves and each other along the way. Not to mention what mom needs to endure to pursue her dream of appearing on Lobster Tank to jump start her culinary career. Whether you love baseball, adorable dogs, Greek parties, or dysfunctional yet loving families, this film has something for everyone. Shot in the Chicago area with a diverse cast and crew, check out and support this great independent movie!
We loved this movie so much! The acting was perfect and funny and you couldn't help but fall in love with the dog who was the perfect pittie ambassador - she stole the show:-) You're Out! Was a funny movie, especially for anyone who played baseball growing up or parented someone who played baseball. A great time! If you are looking for a funny road trip movie and you like baseball and dogs , give it a watch, you'll definitely have some laughs! Shannon Brown was perfect as the Dad who sees himself in his son and wants to relive his childhood through him and Kyle Patrick was adorable as his son. Loved this movie!

You don't have to be a 'sports person' to love this movie. Very well-casted, entertaining throughout, and sprinkled with positive messages. Anyone can find a character to relate to in this movie; or more than one. A movie that covers a wide range of emotions felt in the human experience. It's also refreshing to watch a dog movie in which nothing bad happens to the dog, as happens in so many. I can't count the number of times I've sat down watch a movie featuring a dog, and spend the whole time cringing in anticipation of something bad happening... which it invariably does. (I know we're not supposed to give spoilers, but nothing bad happens to any dogs or other animals.) A must-watch!

I really enjoyed watching this movie. I thought the cast did a great job. The story was good. I thought Suzette Brown was really good playing the lead role with her husband actor Shannon Brown. Shannon was funny as usual. The other cast members were all just so funny. I don't want to give away any spoilers but the theme will be relatable to most fans of sports and comedy. It also has the family dynamics covered. The characters get creative to help raise the family funds so they can continue to live in a nice neighborhood. It also has some funny scenes with the best friends. I would also describe it as a buddy film. I enjoyed watching the film. Great job.

Its witty, intelligent, comedic, silly, fun, comical, has a fantastic story by Sandy Delisle & great direction by Katharin Mraz. The actors are great, the production fantastic. The FX & vision are not only clear and cohesive but really well organized. This story has something in it for everyone and it's absolutely valuable.
This film making team should absolutely put out more work!

Super cute movie with fun for all!
Never a dull moment and plenty of laugh out loud scenes. Did I mention the dog? How can you go wrong with love and dogs?! I watched part on a plane and people were asking what movie it was! I was expecting a 'coming of age' movie as the teens find their journeys; but, it's really a 'coming of age' for the parents! Good reminder that we're never done learning, growing, laughing and loving. Also some fun messages about judge-y types. Who doesn't love the nosey PTA ladies getting some payback. I highly recommend watching this one - or downloading for repeated laughs when you need them.

You're Out! Is a movie that literally covers all the bases. Are you a sports fan? Check! Comedy-lover? Check! Looking for a movie with a dysfunctional family? Check! How about one with character development? Check! Characters who learn to accept each other? Check! Are you an animal lover? This is for you!
This is a feel good movie that is funny, endearing, and very clever. Even the title refers to more than just baseball. I found myself enjoying the more subtle moments as well as the big obvious laughs. This independent film may not be in the Big Leagues, but in my opinion, You're Out! Has certainly hit a Home Run!

I really enjoyed this movie, it kept my attention the whole time. There are no dull moments and it's really funny as well as heart-warming. The cast is really likable and Matterhorn stole my heart, of course! It was great to see a movie with a pitbull type dog. I love the animal welfare references - like Alex and Rod being asked to foster Matterhorn until there was space in the kennel at the shelter. Later in the movie, they mention the stigma around pit bull dogs and brings attention to the challenges that dog rescuers face in placing these dogs that are often discriminated against. Matterhorn is a great representation of the amazing, beautiful, and well mannered dogs that end up as strays and in shelters. I loved when Rod said she had soulful eyes. Great movie!

A light hearted and fun movie that will keep you laughing. It's relatable and full of twists and turns. Characters were great, storyline was great...really had fun watching this! Just when you thought the road trip couldn't have any thing else happen, well there was more. Goofy and heart warming at the same time. (Along the lines of National Lampoon's Vacation movie) If you have kids, if you love sports, if you're married, if you have a pulse - see this movie! The frat house scenes and the sky diving scene were among the favorites. Loved the feel good ending! No, I won't spoil it - just see it already!

What a great movie this was! Not just for your baseball fanatic but for everyone! Will definitely re watch again, and made for a great viewing experience! The character development on the film, as well as the plot and overall theme and attitude of the movie flowed excellently...I was referred this movie by a friend- and will most definitely be referring it to others as well. Like I mentioned before, you don't have to be a huge baseball or even sports fan to find enjoyment in this movie. My wife enjoyed it and usually never likes films about sports, or watching sports in general- but this was a great movie!

Title: Perfectly Cast!
All the reviewers so far have mentioned how funny this film is, so I won't go into that, though I completely agree-I haven't laughed this much in a movie since 40-Year-Old Virgin. Instead, I'm going to highlight the awesome cast! To say Shannon Brown nailed his role as Rod, the self-absorbed dad living vicariously through his son, is an understatement. I hated him, felt sorry for him, and ultimately rooted him on as his character grew and became more self-aware throughout the film. Shannon's real-life and screen wife, Suzette Brown, was perfect as the supportive wife who served as Rod's catalyst to grow up already. Suzette expertly managed a challenging role that required her to be supportive of her selfish husband but not too much of a pushover. And she is hysterical as her alter ego, which I'll leave at that so as not to ruin any surprises. And the character of Alex, played by Ed Kaihatsu, was so endearing he stole many scenes with one-liners.

This movie was so much fun! Kick back for a couple of hours and enjoy watching little "Matterhorn" get adopted (she's so cute you will fall madly in love with this rescue pup!) Meanwhile two grown men make fools of themselves on a baseball road trip with their two sons. With lots of fun twists and turns (including a bit of hysterical adult only content), you will relive your journey from high school through the realities of "adulting". There is definitely a strong "outgoing" female lead that is very entertaining as well. I recommend this cute movie for couples looking for something fun to watch on a Saturday night. This adorable feel-good movie will leave you feeling well... GOOD!

This movie blew me away, it had be cracking up the throughout the entire film! If you enjoyed the hangover, Napoleon Dynamite, or any sports comedy this movie is for you! Anyone who likes a little humor entangled with a great plot and storyline I would suggest giving You're Out a shot this summer!
The character development is phenomenal with a diverse cast, giving everyone a character to relate to and connect with.
Once in awhile an independent comedy comes out that shakes up the entire genre and this is that film in my humble opinion.
Highly recommend checking it out, will for sure be watching it all summer long!

You're Out ! Masterfully weaves humor with multiple issues and messages important in todays complicated world. The casting was excellent and convincing down to heart- stealing 'Matterhorn". The adventure-filled all-guy road trip was filled with unexpected twists and turns as life became interesting for those who remained back home. Recognized landmarks that were visible in this movie were a bonus.
The viewer may identify with and even appreciate the treatment of some of the issues that arose in You're Out!
Adult language peppered throughout created a realistic vibe.
Grab your popcorn and prepare for an evening of entertainment.

A light-hearted comedy with something for everyone! You're OUT! Is a dynamic blend of smiles mixed with meaningful messages throughout. I love that it is filmed locally throughout Illinois, is written, directed, and produced by talented women, and includes a top-notch diverse cast who deliver a genuine feel throughout the entire movie. And...who doesn't enjoy actually laughing out loud many times...priceless! You're OUT is filled with unexpected twists and turns, spotlights a fabulous blocky-head dog, and shares a unique plot with well-written sub plots to add to the mix. You won't be disappointed! Just waiting for the sequel!

In a heartwarming and fun film that combines sports, friendship, and the unbreakable bond between humans and their four-legged companions. This college baseball recruiting road trip takes viewers on a delightful journey filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a rescue dog who steals the show.
One of the film's standout characters is the rescue dog, named Matterhorn. This adorable canine not only adds an element of cuteness to the story but also serves as a symbol of loyalty and companionship. Matterhorn's interactions with the characters are heartwarming, and his presence introduces moments of both humor and tenderness. The connection between the friends and their furry companions showcases the power of animals to bring people closer together.
The road trip itself becomes a character in the film, as the stunning landscapes and diverse locations they visit mirror the characters' personal growth and journey toward self-discovery.
The film's casting deserves special mention, as the ensemble cast delivers performances that feel genuine and relatable. Each character brings a unique flavor to the group dynamic, contributing to the film's authenticity. Their chemistry on screen is infectious, making the emotional moments resonate deeply and the comedic scenes all the more enjoyable.
While baseball serves as a central theme, the film's message extends beyond the confines of the sports field. It explores themes of friendship, personal growth, and the importance of embracing life's unexpected twists and turns. The characters' interactions reveal their vulnerabilities, making them relatable and endearing. As they face challenges and confront their pasts, the bonds between them are tested and strengthened, reminding viewers of the power of genuine connections.
There is a little something for everyone in this movie. A must-see!

I love films about cross country car trips, because just as in real life, they never seem to fail with spontaneous instances of humor. 'You're Out!' is very funny. But, more that that, it is heartfelt, and you feel it right along with the characters.
My favorite character is the stray dog, they pick up along the way. Such a sweet dog. I'm glad he is in a good home now with the main character and his family. I foster Pit Bulls so I know how their reputation hinders them being adopted. They are the opposite of their reputation, but it's hard to convince people of that.
All the actors were very good, down to the supporting cast. Everyone excellent, to the person.
Such a good movie. You won't be disappointed.

I've never been a big fan of baseball movies (I know, what am I doing here?), but this is comedy, drama, and romance, all packed into the baseball road trip theme. Baseball just happens to be the backdrop of which we grow to care about the many multidimensional characters' struggles and accomplishments. We are rooting for almost everyone in this epic journey, not just the main characters. Dog rescue could be a just a side note, but the (dog) Matterhorn's journey is a central message. The soundtrack is fun, especially the baseball organ music played by famed Nancy Faust. This movie has a lot of heart and will leave you feeling great. Don't wait to see this movie, Charge!
My Dad invited me to see this movie at one of the premieres in the Chicagoland Area. I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The Baseball Theme Humor, The Road Trip Fiascos. We had a BLAST watching it together. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a family night comedy. The Actors were really believable and hilarious. The various scenarios in the Film were true to life and funny as heck. You don't know where it's going to end up with all the twist and turns, but that's what makes it great entertainment for the entire family. Everyone I've recommended it to has truly enjoyed it!! Waiting now for the sequel.

Went into this just expecting a fun time but it turned into a very heartfelt story that reminded me off my time growing up playing sports and how it affected my family. Not only did the story pull at my heart strings and scratched the nostologia itch but had me smiling ear to ear the whole time. My favorite part was for sure the college scenes and I think the kids were absolutely hilarious in them. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a incredibly fun yet meaningful story. If you consider yourself an animal lover, specfically dogs!, then there is even something for you in this movie. There really is something for everyone!

'You're Out' is a heartfelt and hilarious movie that reminds us that growing up is an adventure no matter how old we are. The movie captures the volatility and confusion of being a teenager and the challenges and joys of being an adult and parent.
The fantastic cast delivers emotional moments and hilarious laughs whether they are on the road trip or at home. All the characters are endearing and relatable, but you can't help but fall in love with stray pittie Matterhorn. He joins the road trip and steals the show.
I loved this coming-of-age story full of laughter and fun. I definitely recommend this movie.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie! It was funny, clever, well-written and had several nice messages about love and life! We really got to know and like all the characters, which is not always easy to accomplish in under two hours. We especially loved the story line with the adorable dog. We have a pitbull/lab mix rescue dog ourselves so it was heart-warming to see this sweet dog in the movie. We really appreciated that we can enjoy and understand this movie after a long week of work and not have to spend time and energy figuring things out like with some movies. If you are looking for some lighthearted fun with great messages, be sure to watch!

You won't be disappointed. Constant laughs and the character development is top-notch. You'll fall in love with all the many people (and one very special pup) they meet throughout their journey. The dads, frat boys and ex-baseball players, relive their glory days at MU, much to the eye roll of their sons. Meanwhile the mom pursues her dream of a becoming a master chef with an appearance on Lobster Tank. The movie, filmed in Illinois, both in the Chicago suburbs and in around Champaign-Urbana, has a definite Midwest appeal -- small-town diner, a car chase through the corn fields, and a charming farm with a "makeshift" Air BnB.
