Some more CBS web series news today, this time out of CBS Interactive which is bowing two new original series for TV.com and CBSSports.com. Former Wallstrip host Julie Alexandria is coming back to the web as host of TV in a Flash , a new primetime TV recap series that will live on TV.com starting today. The two-minute recap series is weekly, so it's less about hitting the details of last night's shows instead bouncing on the top hits of the week. With a Sportscenter-style sidebar ticker of what she's covering, it's easy to keep up despite fast talking Alexandria as she rolls through speedcaps of House, NCIS, Modern Family and others. Still the two minutes seem rushed, more suited for on-the-go mobile content than a late 2009 weekly web series. That could be something to do with lead sponsor At&T, which developed the series alongside CBS Interactive through its ad agency Mediaedge:cia.

We're not sure what you do with your Saturdays, and frankly we don't want to know. But at Tubefilter it means time to catch up on web series we fell behind on. (Yes, we do watch everything you send us.) This week we're taking a look at five new web series that launched during the past week. And is it just us, or is summer becoming the web series busy season? Busy little interwebs... From creator-star Kaily Smith, this dating comedy proves that even the uber-rich can strike out at love. Faced with losing her trust fund if she doesn't find a man, Merri calls in all the help she can find to match her up. And for fun, throw in Tom Arnold as her borderline psychotic and ruthless billionaire father, some pool furniture friends and a whole host of celeb guest stars like Tony Hale, Ryan Eggold (90210) and David Weidoff...

Oh Crackle. It's really no secret that you're after that coveted young male demo, and the latest two additions to the summer web series roster should score some points in that game: Mommy XXX and All Stars. Mommy XXX, a new reality series goes after one of the only unclaimed plots on the reality landscape, porn stars mommies. The show centers around a typical real-life family who's matriarch, Demi Delia, happens to be a Playboy model turned adult film star. The single mom raises her 14 year-old daughter — a straight-a student — and her aspiring punk rocker son. Next up is All Stars, starring Crackle-regular Owen Benjamin (Owen Benjamin Presents, Heckle U, Gaytown) as the ringleader of the Nifty Rubber Band company's failing office softball league. The series is written by Benjamin along with fellow Owen Benjamin Presents writer Jesse Shapiro who also stars in the show. Their usual gang of comedians star as well,...

As long as there have been sports, there have been hecklers. By definition, heckling is interrupting with derisive comments or abuse. You know what I'm talking about— these salty lots can be found at any sporting event ripping on the referee, the opposing team, or even the opposing team’s family members. With Heckle U, CBS has taken this aspect of sports and created a hilarious new web series that follows the rise and fall of two 'pro' hecklers. Starring comedians Owen Benjamin as Chance Stevens and Kirk Fox as Darrell Downing, the show traces the two hecklers on their path to glory. The first episode show’s their humble (and hilarious) beginnings as hecklers. I won’t say how they got their start, but I will offer this tidbit, it involves purple nurples. The show is presented like a documentary with different interviews with personalities including Heckler historians, newscasters,...

Owen Benjamin and Tom Arnold are collaborating on CBS' latest online com-webisodic series: "Heckle U." The original webisode features the two funnymen as heckler experts, of sorts. Benjamin was recently announced to be engaged to accomplished actress Chrisina Ricci. Arnold hosts "My Big Redneck Wedding" for Cmt. "Heckle U", the new com-webisodic series for CBS.com, is the story of Chance Stevens' road to glory as a professional heckler for the fictional Montana University. In each episode, Chance (Benjamin) and his Uncle Lou (Arnold) the bartender, share their best heckling tales with newspaper reporter Amanda Marsh who has been assigned to do a story on Chance. According to CBS, each week a new story is told about their adventures,...
