Pros and Cons of Being Single is an inventive comedic film from writer/director Anurag Shetty. It features an original premise where a city in India has been hit with a natural disaster and one house boasts a unique gate that protects it.
The home is occupied by Prem, a socially awkward man whose home is suddenly crowded by survivors from around the city. However, these fairly ungrateful guests try Prem's patience with their attitudes and presumptive behaviors.
But despite this mess, Prem also uses the opportunity to try to transcend his loneliness by asking out each girl who has come to his home. His exploits result in some hilarious encounters and a unique take on social interaction.
Pros and Cons of Being Single is well worth a watch, and leaves the viewer with some interesting insight and eagerly awaiting to see what films are coming down the pike from Shetty.
