Nice but i already knew how Assane wil do to trap Pelligrini it was pretty obvious and classic : we already seen it so many times. I enjoyed it anyway. It was pretty tense. Now im wondering what story they will make because the pelligrini story is over: we know everything and what they will do in season 3. Need to ser what happen.

Very smart, actually entertaining and enjoyable. The first episode of the show that felt new, unfortunately.

Do not understand a word of French but with the helpful subtitles, the pace of the series, the acting, the humour and the clever flashbacks - they were all done in a slick manner. Many a times, flashbacks can create confusion but these flashbacks actually help with the storytelling and how everything gets pieced in the end. Very classy and sophisticated - loved watching Omar Sy and his sidekick plus the young sidekick too. Hope there will be a new season featuring the trio plus the kind, blurry but somehow smart detective working with his gut instincts and trustworthiness.

Nice ending, the pace , the soundtrack ... Entertaining. People need to remember that it is fiction SO just enjoy.
Lupin operates in a heightened reality that requires an element of suspension of disbelief.
The final episode starts with Pellegrini believing that he is in control. Although knowing that Assane is planning to do something daring.
The setting is the charity fundraising concert. Despite the increased security Assane finds a way inside. He just needs to get Pellegrini to confess to his crimes.
As for Dumont. The other police officers discover that he is crooked and in league with Pellegrini.
The final episode of the first series delivers the goods. Bold and audacious storytelling.

A great ending to the season with the expected twists and turns and Lupin stunts. The storyline was well developed and the capers worked. Wrapping up the major storylines in a satisfying way and leaving you wanting more!

Five more episodes of the French Crime drama that were released some six months after the initial part. I enjoyed the first run, though I thought perhaps the overall plot kicked in rather heavily when I'd have preferred a little more of the wit of the first episode to prevail. This second run is almost the opposite.
With his son Raoul (Etan Simon) kidnapped, Assane (Omar Sy) assisted by Guedira (Soufiuane Guerrab) chases Leonard (Adama Niane) to an abandoned chateau where a violent confrontation is the only possible outcome. We see in flashback the relationship between young Assane (Mamadou Haidara) and Juliette (Lea Bonneau) which gives Assane an opportunity to turn present day Juliette (Clotidle Hesme) against her father.
This second run is almost spilt in two. The first two episodes deal with the kidnapping and the outcome of that situation. The next three push us back to Assane's revenge against Hubert Pellegrini for the murder of his father. As with the first season, I do end up wishing that storyline was just a touch cleverer than it is. That is had just one or two more extra twists across the run. As it was, it was fine and Omar Sy's charm is usually enough to carry the episode through to the conclusion. As with the first run though, I do feel that the odd extra story, a standalone one showing a clever robbery that explains how Assane finances his operation, would go a long way.
I'm still engaged and will watch part three when it arrives later this year, I would like a little more from the series overall though.

Assen had all the evidence and tools to give us a Christie-like wrapping up in front of all those people. My guess is that the audience had no idea what he was talking about when he stood on the stage. They may be duped no more, but for now...who knows. He uses possible deadly force to get Pelligrini to come clean and that is a bit out of character. Too heavy handed for the gentleman detective, wouldn't you say? Also, he could have done a hundred things to keep from being chased. Set up escape routes which he has done many times. I have to say that after nine episodes, this was a very bland conclusion. What does he do now?
