In order to achieve a UK rating, this movie about the life of Confuzius had to be shortened by two scenes that were considered animal cruelty. These scenes of a horse falling and a cock fight can be considered expendable, however.
Showbox decided to partly exchange the removed material with alternative footage. In order to help with the orientation in the movie, the last frame that both versions show in synchronicity will be included as well.
