Finally, a new CN show that takes place in space!

I recently watched the new Cartoon Network series, Elliott from Earth and I was pretty impressed by the premise of this show. The animation is basically the same animation The Amazimg World of Gumball but there is no background footage of the real world and no 3D animated characters in the show. I like Elliott, especially his mom, Frankie. As for Mo, he's okay but he didn't really impress me that much and I like most of the variety of the aliens in this show. I think Elliott from Earth can be rather enjoying to watch than other CN shows (even though these shows are also enjoying to watch) and I highly recommend anyone to watch it. I give this show an 8.7/10.

Been excited for this since Elliott was blonde

Elliott from earth is the second full series from Cartoon Network Studios Europe (now being rebraned as Hanna Barbera studios Europe) a foreign division of CN whose 1st animated series The amazing world of Gumball became such a big hit for the network I was excited when in 2018 they began production on another series called Elliott from Earth. Years later and it's finally here and I've been enjoying the series so far, the four part Wednesday is a neat introduction to who the 3 main characters are, Elliott & his mother Frankie have been moving around a lot since Frankie's theory of a mysterious rock she found is believed to be evidence of alien activity got her laughed out of field of science though she is determined to prove her theory right, Elliott is a good mannered boy whose feeling a little lonely since due to moving a lot he doesn't have the time to make lasting friendships. This all changed however when they activate the rock causing them to teleport through space on to the centrium, where they meet Mo a Dinosaur. What I like about Mo is when they meet him he really doesn't know much of anything and he asks questions about real basic stuff. This show can have such a soft gentle tone sometimes it's great. After making a home on the centrium the show goes into a more episodic approach exploring the cast of aliens and cool futuristic design of world around them. Some of my favorite episodes so far are: problematic prophecies: Nara is a interesting character who temporarily gave Elliott & Mo the power of future sight. Parallel Paradox: It's just really funny. And Melancholic Megalomaniac: LORD KALLOUS is such an interesting character, once a space tyrant now seeks redemption as a school teacher. Also the animation and colors of this show are amazing, nearly every episode has the characters with types of shading and lighting that you'd normally wouldn't see in other shows. Over all I'm looking forward to more of this series!

Love it!

I love this show already! It almost feels as if Cartoon Network tapped right into my head and turned 90% of my personal fantasies into an animated show.

It's so good so far

This show just has so much potential. And the writers seem to be doing their best so far. It kinda reminds me of Gravity Falls and the mysteries here are so well handled. Keep up!

That was an amazing show.

I've always wanted to be excited for that show. It's from the executive producers of The Amazing World of Gumball. I don't know if the show takes place on the same universe as Gumball, but still.

Great Series

Just began watching, and it has a great start for the series of a 4 part episode. Nothing like The Amazing World of Gumball, a phenomenal show, but this show does have some fairly good comedy.

overarching plot is pretty good, everything else is pretty meh

Ok so to start off, this show has a FANTASTIC story, its engaging and brings many questions to the viewer, and the show did seem pretty promising in the first few episodes. Unfortunately whenever the show isnt focusing on the story (which is around 60% of the show by the way) its lame as heck. Its literally just a watered down gumball clone with less self awareness to it. The comedy can be pretty good sometimes and it has some clever concepts. Although mo is a pretty annoying character, when he was first introduced he seemed to be a passable character with his own character traits and personality, but he quickly became the horrible comic relief i was hoping he wouldnt be. Honestly i feel like this show could have been good as long as they just focused entirely on the story and not the filler, but as it stands its overall a pretty mixed bag.

Cinematic cartoon from across the pond

This show is made by Cartoon Network Europe, just like The Amazing World of Gumball, and shares a similar animation style with it. It's like if you took out all the other animation styles in Gumball and left only the 2D flash portion, which still looks spectacular.

Everything about Elliott from Earth is so cinematic. From the theme music, to the sparkly, vibrant animation. It even has a story arc, meaning that you get to watch all the episodes together like a movie. There's still some self-contained episodes to balance it out, so it doesn't get too serious.

I love the relationship between Elliott and his mom Frankie. They have similar struggles with trying to please people and forge friendships, due to them moving a lot. And now that they're in space with a bunch of wacky-looking aliens who are as every bit as eccentric as them, they finally feel at home.

CN US did this show dirty. They burned it off over like 2 weeks so that the season finale aired too soon. Man. Hopefully it comes to HBO Max and finds a mainstream audience there.

Don't advertise this as a replacement for TAWOG.

I'm not really a nostalgia-heavy person when it comes to TV shows, but when you advertise a show as a replacement for another show, it becomes hard to think of this show as its own.

My review of this show is only so low because Cartoon Network kept telling me how it was basically supposed to be The Amazing World of Gumball Two, even having the same dynamic, and now I can't think of it as anything outside of that.

It's a great show, solid 9 out of 10, but I can't disassociate it from TAWOG thanks to CN, and this show is nothing like TAWOG.

Beautiful!

Love the story line! Hoping to see more of the lessons.

I love the time travel scene. A great inspiration for me to do my own story. I also love the character and the visual composition.

I wish I could watch more seasons. It really makes me wait for another season. I think the season 2 is already out but hoping to see it soon.

I would recommend kids watching this. I saw a lot of moral lessons that they can learn from.

I hope that the story will be exciting just like the previous season.

I will keep on eye to this cartoon as it really gives me contentment and it is really different from other cartoon series. Great job!

I can't see how it could be improved... LOVE IT!

It is refreshing to be able to sit, chill and watch this with my son. Most of what he likes is dross, but this is quite fun and has a story.

I really enjoy it, it gives me Flight of the Navigator/Futurama/Hitchhiker's Guide vibes.... if that makes sense.

Great, with one issue.

Not sure if it's just me (it probably is), but I personally see Mo as a third wheel (in a very irritating way), which slightly detracts from the quality of the show and distracts from the very particular focus that led me to be interested in the show in the first place. Other than that, this show is excellent, and is exactly what I have been wanting and have been looking for throughout the past couple months!

Another project from Guillaume Cassuto!

First time when I watched it, this show looks innocent to me; like we're going to the universe and the theme song is quite amazed than I thought! And hey, I really, really, really love the futuristic stuff tho! Just ignore the bad reviewers about it and give this show a 100000000/10!

Another very underrated animated series canceled before it got a real chance

I had this in my watchlist before I had ever watched The Amazing World of Gumball, and after I'd finished that, was looking for another animated series to watch. Little did I know, This series also had the creator/writer Mic Graves of The Amazing World of Gumball doing a lot of the writing (and a few other things on it) until I started to watch and see their name in the opening credits! It definitely makes sense, because even while it's a completely different series, with a different kind of story and vibe, Mic Grave's comedy & style is there.

Speaking of the style, I really love the look of this one. I enjoyed the color palettes, the unique aliens, and overall animation style.

The story is fun and cute, the characters were interesting, funny, and memorable. I wanted to keep watching to see what happened next to them, specifically Mo & Elliott, but even his mom. I really liked several of the other characters and I feel like we didn't get enough of a chance to get to know them, and that's kind of a crime. Like Lord Kallous, who wasn't in the series enough, but was a really humorous character, but I guess I'm glad we at least got one last episode about him before the series ended.

There were actually so many great characters in this... If it had been taken seriously by CN, we could have had more fun with them. The way we did in Gumball.

Another great one was a robot with the voice of Dianne Morgan (from Cunk on Earth). Loved her in it!

I wish they hadn't killed this series. Especially because of the weird cliffhanger it ended on, It felt so unfair... And I guess all we can hope is that someday the series comes back, but it's probably not going to, considering CN's parent company's track record with things like this.

I'll just say if you haven't seen this, give it a chance. And just try to judge it on its own merits. It's not The Amazing World of Gumball, It is it's own show, but if you like that show, maybe you'll like this one, too.

Awesome show from another world

Wow Elliot From Earth was such a great show from Cartoon Network since 2021, this show was from the creators of The Amazing World of Gumball which was way better too and The Amazing World of Gumball is way better than this awful rip-off called Miracle Star.

Great show but why did it suddenly stop airing?

I remember this show being released on 29th March 2021 and then taken away about a week later. I don't think it is fair to take away a series that has had such little air time, but very aesthetically pleasing visuals.

I remember taking a liking to this show, as it was by the same production team as gumball which meant the visuals were up to state and pretty. The plot was a really good take and the whole concept was a great idea overall. I like how unique each alien looks and how there are not any stereotypes in the show, so it is kept modern and up to date,

I am rating this show 8 stars, because I would love to see more of it but unfortunately was only aired for a week.
