Self Quarantined

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! I loved how it had a sci-fi vibe to it, with lots of suspense. I watched it multiple times, and each time I came away with things I had not caught from my previous viewing. I liked how the ending was a bit ambiguous. My interpretation of the ending was different from others that I had talked to (I personally think I am right about though LOL). If you like a thriller, you should see this for sure! Well done, visually, and the casting of the three friends was on point. Their chemistry really worked. This independent film received many accolades and I understand why!

How can one comment sufficiently on a milestone?

The first watch of "Self Quarantined" is like pure shock, because (at least for me anyway) you can't believe that such a film now exists.

The directions it goes are unpredictable, especially with Michelle Lamb's character, and the VFX are very original as well.

The "Self Quarantined" crew definitely have a unique gem on their hands, and film festivals audiences are going to love it.

Timely and the Production Value is A+ This Indie is one of the best of 2022. The cast features a rare three African American female lead storyline. The film has multiple industry accolades for directing and genre specific categories. If you are a movie buff and someone that is really into thriller Sci-Fi, this is a movie to see. The movie starts hot (not appropriate for ages 17 and under) and really heats up from there. The effects will have you expecting twists and turns and viewers will not be dissatisfied. The most amazing part of this film might be that it was produced from start to finish during the heart of the Covid-19 lockdown...this Self Quarantined!

I literally made an account just to write this review. Saw this movie to rent on YouTube for $5, the trailer looked interesting, it had quite a few awards, and a couple good user reviews.

Long story short, we want our $5 back.

The first half is decent. Some...interesting effects and odd transitions, but it was fine. The lead trio of women had fantastic chemistry, which is the only area I feel this film really shines. I feel like 2 stars is almost too generous, but, trust me, they're both for these three actresses.

However, the women get separated halfway through. The rest is half snooze fest, half "I have no idea what's going on." I still only have a vague idea of what the plot was actually about, and I am left with so many questions. The most pressing of which are, "Why did this win so many awards?" and, "Why do these two reviewers love this so much?"
