In case you haven’t heard, Train to the End of the World has been offering a weekly slice of absurdity in a world gone mad, with its heroines traveling from one wildly jumbled town to the next in the wake of the 7G-prompted quasi-apocalypse. It’s got a charming cast, an absolute bounty of ridiculous ideas, and a snappiness of execution that somehow binds all these variables together. It’s the kind of show that feels like it would be almost impossible to get right, and if so, only through lucky chance — that is, so long as you’re not familiar with its brilliant director.
