More of AMC's extensive Anne Rice Universe is on the way. During the latest episode of Interview with the Vampire season 2, AMC released a brief teaser for the upcoming sophomore season of its other notable Rice series, Mayfair Witches, based on the Lives of the Mayfair Witches book series.
But before you get too excited, the teaser is just that, a teaser, and a brief one at that. It doesn't give anything away about the show's second season, only confirming that it will be released in 2025.
As you can see, the clip is only 15 seconds long and just includes a few little quotes like, "the legacy continues," and "embrace the darkness."
Some spoilers ahead for the end of Mayfair Witches season 1.
When we last saw Dr. Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), she had finally begun to embrace her power and authority as the new reigning designee of the Mayfair family.

Lana Condor, Milo Manheim, Forrest Goodluck, Penn Badgley, Lashana Lynch, Amandla Stenberg, Mason Gooding, and Dove Cameron are potential new faces for the main characters. Luke Eisner's appearance makes him a good fit for the role of Jasper, and the show could potentially launch his career.

The live-action adaptation of Naruto faces the challenge of accurately representing the beloved characters from the anime, which has over 50 characters and 500 episodes. The casting for the film must include essential characters and spot-on actors to appease Naruto fans and capture the essence of the series. The selected actors, such as Oakes Fegley, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, and Oona O'Brien, have the potential to deliver stellar performances and bring their respective characters to life.
The live-action adaptation of Naruto will have quite the job coming up with a cast that accurately represents the characters from Masashi Kishimoto's anime. The project was announced by Lionsgate back in 2015, and though there has been little word over the years between the Covid-19 pandemic and the 2023 WGA strike, it can be assumed that the film will eventually make it to home screens. Warning: Spoilers for Fubar season 1!
Fubar season 1 may be primarily an action comedy, but its shocking finale twist foreshadows an emotional roller coaster for season 2. The Netflix series pays homage to True Lies by casting Arnold Schwarzenegger as yet another CIA agent, this time named Luke Brunner, who struggles to balance his secret spy world with his family life. When he discovers that his daughter Emma (Top Gun: Maverick's Monica Barbaro) has been keeping her own spy life a secret from him, the two are paired together for a vital mission that's full of laughter and spectacle.
The supporting cast of Fubar includes comedic actors Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, and Travis Van Winkle as part of Luke's team, as well Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us) as the season's villain. One character, however, is much harder to pin down by the time the credits roll on episode 8: Nsa analyst Tina,...

Chances are good that, if you know me in the real world, you’ve heard me repeat/paraphrase/mangle the Samuel Johnson quote, “[W]hen a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.” I believe that deeply.
Allow me to mangle/paraphrase the quote further, because while Johnson never said, “[W]hen a man is tired of ghosts, he is tired of the afterlife,” I’m beginning to believe that I am, indeed, suffering from ghost fatigue. Which is not, in fact, a less appreciated Mission: Impossible sequel.
The show with the poor fortune to trigger this growing apparition-apathy is Paramount+’s middling boo-dunnit School Spirits. But it could just as easily have been ABC’s middling comedy Not Dead Yet or a mini-marathon of CBS’ Ghosts or lingering memories of last summer’s instantly forgotten (but actually better than middling) Netflix series Boo, Bitch. Following in the footsteps of On My Block, Netflix's lighthearted comedy mystery series Freeridge boasts an impressive and talented cast. As an entirely original spinoff, Freeridge includes a wealth of exciting new characters, making it a worthy addition to the expanding franchise. However, given the crossover between the projects, many viewers are eager to identify new as well as returning characters and how they may fit into the overarching story.
Freeridge shares the same creative team as its predecessor, with Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft working alongside Jamie Uyeshiro, and Jamie Dooner – all of whom previously collaborated on Netflix's hit On My Block. Like the original, Freeridge focuses on a group of school friends slowly unraveling a mystery. However, where On My Block was often grounded in its storytelling, Freeridge leans into a more supernatural theme – focusing on a supposed curse accidentally unleashed by the central quartet.

Netflix has taken peak TV to a new peak.
In a data point sure to fuel more quantity-versus-quality debate, Netflix broke its own record for number of original episodes released in a single quarter — with 1,026 in the third quarter of 2022, according to a tally by Wall Street firm MoffettNathanson.
That’s more than five times any other streaming rival: Amazon Prime Video and Hulu released 223 and 194 episodes, respectively, and Disney+ debuted 140 original episodes, per the report. HBO Max, now owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, released 114 episodes in the third quarter — significantly fewer episodes than usual and comprising the lightest slate for the service since Q2 2020, the second quarter after launch. Netflix has released exclusive footage of Noah Centineo and Lana Condor’s first-ever chemistry read for their lead roles in the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise.
The pair co-star as young lovers, Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky, in the rom-com trilogy based on the book series of the same name.
Celebrating four years since Condor and Centineo’s breakout roles in the franchise’s first 2018 film, the streamer shared never-before-seen footage of the actors’ original chemistry read.
“Before they became everyone’s crushes, they were just two young actors in an audition room,” Netflix wrote. “While some first encounters have their fair share of awkwardness, it’s clear that the love has always been there since day one for these co-stars.”
In the clip, Centino’s Peter asks Lara Jean why she’s so afraid of love. “Because the more people you let into your life, the...

Exclusive: Lana Condor (To All the Boys films), Desmin Borges (The Time Traveler’s Wife) and Callan Mulvey (The Gray Man) have signed on to star alongside Chase Stokes in Monarch Media’s thriller Valiant One, which goes into production in Vancouver this month.
The first feature directed by Monarch’s Steve Barnett watches as a U.S. helicopter crashes on the North Korean side of the Dmz. With tensions between the North and South already on the verge of war, the surviving U.S. Army non-combat tech soldiers must work together to protect a civilian tech specialist and find their way across the Dmz, without the possibility of U.S. military support.
Condor will play Selby, a hard-as-nails and highly capable but very inexperienced Medic Specialist who joined the U.S. military after becoming a citizen to give back to her new homeland. Borges is set for the role of Josh Weaver,...

Photo: 'Boo, Bitch' The First Episode Is Also the Best I’m about to bully the new Netflix comedy miniseries, ‘Boo, Bitch’, but firstly I do want to be fair to it; in its defense, it faced an uphill battle right from the start. It’s one thing to make a high school comedy, which is already a Herculean task, simply for the reason that by the time you’re even able to work on a film or TV show about the high school experience, you’re (at the very least) a decade removed from your own time in high school. I barely remember what my time in high school was like, and I’m pretty young still. As such, rarely is the authentic high school experience, how kids talk, and what they do outside of class, captured on film, either literally or by way of metaphor. On top of all this,...

The only competition “Stranger Things” has is itself.
The hit Netflix series from the Duffer Brothers claimed the second-highest viewing record ever on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 upon the July 1 release of “Stranger Things 4: Volume 2”, with 5.9 billion viewing minutes. It comes second only to “Stranger Things 4: Volume 1,” which premiered May 27 and racked 7.2 billion viewing minutes.
Following in the top five all-time highest-viewed series on Nielsen’s list are “Tiger King” (with 5.3 billion viewing minutes) and “Ozark” (5.2 billion viewing minutes) during March 2020, as well as another slot for “Stranger Things” (5.1 billion viewing minutes) during the week of May 23, 2022.

Netflix is on a roll this summer by creating fun and fresh teen shows and movies for young subscribers to watch, and their latest title is the comedy mini-series Boo, Bitch. The series stars Lana Condor as Erika, an overachieving high school student who decides to go to her first high school party with her best friend, Gia (Zoe Margaret Colletti). Their night of enjoying high school life abruptly ends when Erika wakes up the next morning believing she is dead.
While the series blends traditional teen comedy with supernatural elements in an innovative way, it's the characters that truly make Boo, Bitch a show everyone should watch. From archetypal mean girls to one of the best groups of male best friends on television, Boo Bitch really pulled out all the stops when it comes to its characters. And the best part is that none of them are perfect!

Warning: The following contains spoilers for the Netflix series Boo, Bitch, as well as discussions of death.
When ghosts are proven to exist in Boo, Bitch, the idea of an astrology sign helping to explain personality traits doesn't seem so far-fetched. While some characters, like the magician Brad, look down on astrology, seeing it as something easily learned from a quick internet search, other characters might find it a bit more interesting.
Of the twelve zodiac signs, all are represented amongst the large cast of characters in Boo, Bitch.

A new month has arrived, which means a fresh batch of movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix. Most monumentally, the beginning of the month saw the conclusion of “Stranger Things 4,” which began back in May but is just now finishing up. (There’ll be one more season before the series winds down.) Other new Netflix original series this month include the horror-comedy “Boo, Bitch,” the fourth season of “Virgin River” and the fifth season of all-ages animated spin-off “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” (which we’ve heard has some surprising connections to this summer’s blockbuster “Jurassic World: Dominion”).
On the Netflix original films side of things, the biggest new release is undoubtedly “The Gray Man.” A nonstop action extravaganza from Joe and Anthony Russo, the directing duo behind “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgmane,” it stars Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling as dueling spies. There’s also a new...

Nonetheless, mainly because of the hugely talented cast, I was eager to check out the new show Boo, Bitch.

Lana Condor and Zoe Colletti have very different definitions of “fun” on set.
The pair co-star in the new Netflix series “Boo, Bitch,” which follows Condor’s Erika and Colletti’s Gia — two high school students who realize just as they’re about to graduate that they’ve barely even lived. Just as they’re making plans to seize their final days before graduation, Erika wakes up one morning as a ghost.

With great power comes great responsibility. And that’s if you’re Spider-Man. But arguably it’s even more true if you’re a popular high school senior with the power to destroy a reputation with a fart, and make a prom king with… well, kind of, the power of that same fart. But more on that later.
Lana Condor (To All The Boys series) stars as high school senior Erika Vu, who due to some casual cruelty from her own personal equivalent of Rachel McAdams’ Regina George from Mean Girls, has spent the last four years being invisible and known as Helen Who. Erika is actually semi-ok with getting through to graduation without being humiliated further but her best friend Gia (Zoe Margaret Colletti) is not and desperately wants them to have some actual fun before school’s out. It should only take a few minutes for someone to know whether “Boo, Bitch” is for them or not. Netflix’s latest young adult series is unabashed in announcing itself, with high schoolers speaking in impossibly long hashtags and acronyms, and dialogue that plays out as if written in All Caps. For those tuning in to see what star Lana Condor is up to after playing Lara Jean in the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy, the show’s hyperactive tone at least gives her the chance to play someone rather different. Condor’s latest high school character, Erika Vu of “Boo, Bitch,” ends up a far more concentrated version of Lara Jean in ways that both point to Condor’s versatility as an actor and reveal the cracks in the show’s tricky premise.

No matter what certain producers might like to claim in interviews, a TV series is not just a long movie, nor should it be. Each medium has its own strengths and demands. But there are, arguably, certain advantages that movies have and shows don’t.
For instance: It’s one thing to wait out a rocky first act if you’ve committed to watching a whole movie. It’s another to push through when you need to decide every half-hour or so to keep watching. Boo, Bitch, from Erin Ehrlich (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Lauren Iungerich (On My Block), suffers the misfortune of a dispiriting start — and though it does eventually evolve into something bitchy and heartfelt enough to be kind of fun, those early episodes make a poor case for sticking around long enough to find out.
The premise, at least, is intriguing:...
