A knee injury having wrecked his national baseball career, Jake Turner returns to his Indiana home town, where the local hero surprisingly revives his passionate plan B: putting to professional use his pastry chef training. So he offers his services to Courtney Preston, the local chef, who runs father William's ailing family restaurant and hopes to save it by winning he state-wide cooking competition.
