No more neither less maybe fit to this movie. The movie clearly stated their musical theme into the very first scene so audience can really know what the movie will be like. Overall, it's a comforting movie with great music and actors.

Wonderful story about struggle; the future for one and a failed past as two protagonists go on a journey of discovery and themselves. Top notch acting, pacing, direction, and an overall sense of feel goodness, wrapped in a confection of music. Ah, the music. Watch the movie, stay for the credits, and feel the music. Rock on!

Music director, and actor contributed a lot in this film.

This film looks like it was really made for Chanyeol. Chanyeol pointed out that he is multitalented in his role as Ji Hoon. Apart from that I can say that the storyline of this film is standard, someone who has a fear of appearing in public is helped by someone to grow his self-confidence by appearing in various places. Thats it, i cant see the process, there was no visible process.

Korean Music Movie "The Box" has some interesting music choices to offer. The songs vary from rock vibes to classics, so yes, this film has it all. The performances are great and each song is presented in an interesting way, like they wanted to visualize the sound. In that way, the movie did well. The actors and actresses did also their best and all the performances were enjoyable.

As for the story, is pretty simple, realistic in a way because it portrayed real emotions, but it lacked in many ways. So, if you want to watch it for the story, you'll probably be disappointed, as the plot leaves a lot out and it edits most of the action in short rolls, and just when things pick up, the movie ends. However, if you watch it for the music, you'll have fun.

Perfect perfection! I really enjoy the OST's. Official playlist on repeat on Spotify. Chanyeol's voice sounds so warm, so deep! I want to watch such a movie in order to be saturated with positive energy.

The Box (2021) : Brief Review -

The Box is probably one of the most inarticulate idea for any musical, mastered by genius filmmaking. Though i have seen lots of Classic musicals of Hollywood from 1927 to 2021, i have never came across any foreign language musical. The Box came in my watchlist after seeing a very high rating at IMDb (8.9/10) otherwise i would have never preferred any Korean musical. So, The Box is good, very good actually but 8.9 at IMDb is a big joke. Come on, just don't degrade other high rated Korean Classic for this. The Box is probably one of the dumbest idea i have ever seen in Musical genre but i have to admit that the way Yang Jung-woong has used it and has took it forward is a clear sign of genius filmmaking. A music producer fallen from grace finds an artist - Ji Hoon who has everything needed to make it big and discovers the one thing holding him back, paralyzing stage fright. The idea of him singing inside the box looked a big joke at the beginning but later it started making practical sense. The way he evolves his own character through visiting many places and people was theoretically accurate as well as practically. There is one thing i didn't understand that why did they use English Songs in a Korean Film? Was it for a global appeal or is English Music really that popular in South Korea? I am not a Korean but it's a basic sense to use local language throughout the film otherwise it would be like, in the search of foreign audience you lost your own domestic followers. Park Chanyeol and Jo Dal-hwan makes a good chemisty on screen, their frendship and mutual repeat for each other is lovable. The musical numbers composed by Ecobridge are fantastic. I loved them all even with subtitles. Overall, The Box is a great attempt in Musical genre with grounded story and simple characters. Give it watch with good expectations but not high.

I'm just gonna say it... this film is way overrated.

I don't think that the reviewers who calls this film a masterpiece has seen or even heard of Whiplash.

I'll give it a 3 for the chemistry of the cast.

The movie is very cool !! And most importantly interesting. Thanks to him, we realize that we still don't need to be afraid and get out of our "box", following our dream.

Overall Bored, not even single original song from a movie, all the song that was singing was famous song. And bored ending.

I really like the movie, bc of corona we can't travel but i felt like i travel with them, im really proud of chanyeol, i like the osts and their acting.

I don't get it.. perfect rating, just because of a Korean boyband member? You gotta be kidding me..

Well, what can I say about The Box? It is a masterpiece. Russian people knew it from the very beginning, long before the film was released in Russia, that is why we tried our best and went through all the circles of hell to watch it on a big screen in theatres. And you know, it is 100% worth it. If I could go back, I would certainly do it all over again just to see this film one more time.

Why is it so good? Firstly, the picturesque atmosphere of South Korea with its landscape and food will make you feel as if you are on a trip with the main characters. I think, it is especially valuable during the pandemic time.

Secondly, the music is amazing. I listened to the OST album countless number of times, but in combination with the film those songs open up from a new side. If you are afraid that you do not know a single song, that all of them are Korean, you are mistaken. Do not worry, they all are big hits, and I am sure that you can find your favourite song among them. And also I should note that Park Chanyeol and the other musicians did their job greatly, all the songs are perfomed delightfully.

Thirdly, despite the fact that The Box is a low budget film, everything looks more than decent. The picture is beautiful, bright, the story itself is very dynamic, sometimes funny, sometimes touching. I am still very impressed with the drum scene (who has seen it will understand). The actors did not disappoint either, it was interesting to watch the development of their relationship and how they interacted.

Finally, The Box has a great impact on the viewer. If you are tired, if you feel that there is no way out, then this movie is for you. After watching it, you will get a tremendous lift and the strongest motivation, so you will be able to overcome any difficulties. And this is the main purpose of the film. I am sure, the story of the musician and his producer will make you break your own box!

During these trying times of Covid, this heartwarming, feel good movie is a welcome relief from boredom of not being able to travel. You get to see a bit of South Korea whilst the main characters busk around the country. The Box also offers great covers of popular western & Korean songs and the main OST is inspiring like the story. Chanyeol is very talented and a pleasure to watch and listen to him sing.
