The entire movie belongs to Sangeeta.
She lives in a cozy cottage in Ooty with her husband and her 5 year old daughter . Her brother in law Srikanth starts living with them after he finishes his studies. He is job searching .
Very soon she notices his rugged physique and gets drawn to him. Her husband comes to know and is shocked as he always thought of his wife as his brother's mother . Theirs was a love marriage . No way she can cheat on him.
Instead of repenting, she accepts that she is attracted to his brother . Aghast , unable to accept this , he commits suicide the very night . She weaves some silly story about his suicide to the world .
She keeps her act of being a concerned mother and SIL to Srikanth .
Very soon she becomes an innocent grieving widow to every one around .
He believes her story initially and takes up the responsibility left behind by his brother. Parallel he is in love with his college mate - Samvruta . Sangeeta tries every trick in the book to split them all the while maintaining an innocent face. She is so much enamored by her BIL that she burns her own child with hot milk to stop him from going and meeting his love.
Very soon he realises her intentions and starts to maintain his distance . A lot of misunderstandings take place between the lovers.
In the end , when both realise that they cannot get married due to Sangeeta and her own family pressures , Srikanth and Samvruta try to commit suicide . Sangeeta comes as if to pacify them but tries to push them .
Sadly she herself falls down the cliff and dies. The lovers are united finally . They take up the child as their own and start life afresh.
Sangeeta is nubile and perfect as a young scheming widow . She wears low cut short sleeves tops when he is around to entice him. She has a fine figure to carry these clothes .
Srikanth is fine as an affectionate BIL looking for a mother figure and then confused about her intentions , a loyal man of the house taking care of the entire household all the while trying to pacify his own love . Samvruta plays her part well torn between her love .She comes to know about Sangeeta's intentions very soon but is unable to convince Srikanth . Over all fine movie with conflicting emotions . A lot of hummable songs are thrown in .
