The storyline and the twists fascinating. Happy, sad, angry, worry, funny, weird,.. all are in The Long Ballad.

The only reason I'm giving it a 8/10 is because of the last two eps. Otherwise the whole drama was really well made and detail-oriented. The story was great, the acting and directing was superb, and no dragging.

Also no cringes, at least not with the main two cps. You'll still see budget constraint specially in the last two episodes which were rushed and some cringes with the sidekicks and obvious plots with the holes, but only in the last two episodes. And you won't actually disappoint with the ending, you'll just feel the rushing and a few witless rescue scenes, obvious deaths, silly fights and well, a bit dragging and obviousness. But The other 47 episodes were really really great.

This is the best historical drama of 2021, Dilraba really nailed it she's the best to portray Chang Ge. She looks like the manhua version, alongside Wu Lei also works hard and embodied Ashile Sun I love their chemistry. The supporting characters also are amazing everything about the drama is worth it.

I am attrached by Dilraba as she can be a tomboy then a beautiful girl. She has changed in every film she joined, no repeated character. Then I fall in love with Wu Lei's handsome. The story line in this drama is so interesting, over my expectation!!!

Never a dull moment in the journey of Chang Ge. Dilraba and Wu Lei performance in this drama are superb, plus their moments and chemistry are soft. The drama is worth a watch. The martial arts scenes are eye-catching and carefully set up. The plot is tense and unpredictable. The crew did a great job casting!

At first, I watched the drama because the two main actors were so sweet. They love each other slowly. After that, the drama gave me more emotions than love. It is the love for the country, for the family. A film rich in humanity and worth ponder. Congratulations Dilraba on finding a character that suits you. I hope she gets better in the future. The film was successful beyond expectation.

This is the greatest drama I've ever seen after such a long time. Chang Ge has a unique characteristic. I really like her. I also like the ost, the scene is very beautiful. Especially the film also has some comic scenes.

I want to thank the crew that is responsible for this drama. Now there's a shortage of tears and kleenex at every fan's house. What are we to do tomorrow. You wrote and presented an extremely emotional episode. Then you let the actors and actresses bring it to life with so much conviction. Fans are crying for more. Keep up the good work while I round up some more kleenex for more ugly crying. See yous tomorrow.

A good story doesn't always rely on intimate scenes or skinship of main leads rather the storytelling itself although the premise of the story isn't unique but the execution of the story itself was great. This drama didn't focus entirely on romance but rather Li Changge journey on revenge and her dilemma whether to forget and move on for the sake of her people or continue revenge and bloodshed ,finding a goal for herself and the people she encountered during her redemption and self discovery .The romance is just a bonus but on the side note it added spice on the drama BTW the main leads had an amazing chemistry despite the limited skinship. Each character also did great in portraying their characters and did their best as essential to the story specifically Wu Lei for me he outdid his performance as Ashile Sun and Dilraba who levelled up from her cutesy bubbly role to a decisive princess warrior in her own right. There's also Lusi who came to break out from her normal role and came to challenge herself as a weak princess then to a self determined one and Liu Yuning who as a singer who ventured to acting did improved his acting skills as Hao Du who was once just a loyal follower of his adoptive father but came to collect himself and proved that he's not only a robot .There was also Ah Dou who can't not left unmentioned because despite being young he braved himself to protect his country on his own way and the young actor himself did well on that .Wei Shuyu who can't and was always undecisive came to understand himself better and his priorities. I can go on and on but the point is if you immersed yourself on the story you're find a compelling one , one that was beautifully told although phenominal it has flaws and one thing was the ending which i can agree, it was a bit rushed ,they could have explored more but i can understand they maybe not able to do so as the source material itself wasn't finished. I rate it with 10 regardless of the rushed ending and will always be one of my all time favourites.

I initially wanted to give this show a below than average rating but Zhao Lusi saved it for me. She was amazing! This is my first time seeing her and I am so impressed by her acting talent. She is so young but she's got so much potential to be one of the best asian actresses of today. In contrast to the first female lead, she is not convincing at all as Changge. She's a poor casting choice in my opinion. There were many scenes of her that were really questionable. The actor playing Sun is quite good but it's the Yueyan and Hao Du storyline that kept me from dropping this show. They need to do another drama together! Amazing chemistry! Overall, it's a mediocre drama with mediocre storyline and mediocre actors except for Zhao Lusi and Liu Yining.

This drama was supposed to have a familiar storyline as an adaptation of a well-known book. So, it's going to be tough. Good things were on the set and outdoor scenery scenes; and most of cast were good looking. Albeit, not all of them had good acting and some could be annoying to watch somehow. Zhao Lusi was actually the one who steal the show as Dilraba was not quite Li Chang Ge I expected to see. Plus worse thing, she's paired with Wu Lei who were also not the strongest performance here throughout, made it another average historical drama, especially after halfway where all strong interesting plots showed from episode 1-27 were gradually changed into a boring predictable closure. It's just not as perfect as everyones said for me. I am echoing another review stating that it's a shamed that No twist Nor surprises on this. I kept watching and managed to complete it only because of Zhao Lusi in the end.

A fantastic drama that i've seen. To be honest, The Long Ballad is one of the greatest dramas in 2021.

Chang Ge Xing is a drama series that is one of the best c-drama released this 2021. The storyline and production is great! Even the OST, I cannot get over it. The cast and the crew (Chang Ge Xing team) all did their best to create a masterpiece. No matter what role they have, they act with a heart and truly immersed into their characters.

Dilireba and Wu Lei is a good actress. Their chemistry is awesome. The story about the grow up of princesst betwwen war, revent and her true love. Visual effects of the movies is the best.

Some of us must have known the story and character of Li Changge. So, it's interesting to see how it would be portrayed and visually performed; and how everything would be wrapped up in this drama series. Although I am not a big fan of the choice of Wu Lei as male lead with his flat acting and to be honest Dilraba could have been better Li Changge with more expressive acting. But overall I could manage that since Zhao Lusi has been doing fantastic job to bring up her character slowly but surely. At first, things actually were so good until episode 27, story moved in good pace keeping us interestingly watching . However, starting from episode 28, story was somehow dragging and becoming boring in which many unnecessary scenes. Some casts are only good looking but they were rather annoying to watch. I almost dropped this on episode 30, but I kept carry on watching as curious about how it would end and hoping I could finish it and preserve the good rating. Overall, It's ok but definitely not the best serious historical drama as many praised , no clever twist to make it interestingly different and more captivating apart of the popularity of Dilraba and Zhao Lusi perhaps the one that are drawn us to watch.

I normally watch most of the mainland China drama on 2x speed and still find it too slow. However not this drama , I could only watched it on normal speed .

The director , the team and all the cast especially Li Changge ( Reba ) and Ashina Sun ( Wulei ) had done a great job !

The acting is amazing ! Warning ! You will get totally hooked !

It started good, and went interesting untill khatun part, that was a total drag, missed the charm every time a fight scene came, instead of real action scenes, it was replaced by cartoon illustrations of the characters, that was a big turn off for me. Overall one time watch.

I have to say this is the best Chinese period drama I've ever seen.

30 episodes in, Im still amazed by all actors and actresses of Chang Ge Xing. Because of their excellent performance, I can tell each one of them has a deep understanding of the entire storyline and life lessons that Chang Ge Xing is trying to present. It's amazing that the lead actress Dilraba and lead actor Leo Wu are able to overcome so many challenges with their acting skills. They literally gave life to their characters.

The production team is so awesome. The music, the drone shots, and the fighting scenes always make me feel like I'm watching a movie in a theater.

Chang Ge Xing has become my top favorite of all times!!!
