Co- creator Ned E. Davis was a producer and director of Murphy Brown for ten seasons.
The cast has been thru many changes since the show's inception. Hannes Phinney as Dr. Tom Evans has been in the cast the longest, as Chris Lunz and Len Klatt felt he nailed the part immediately. Kimberly Wallis stepped into the part of Liz Wallach with very little prep time, but everyone was instantly taken with her interpretation of the character.
Melissa Archer first came to the attention of the writers when they saw an online soap opera interview with her. Her dressing room at "Days of Our Lives" was covered with Lucille Ball memorabilia.
Since each episode takes place in real time (a thirty-minute ferry crossing), the stories have to pack a lot of action in a short amount of time.
Besides a busy acting career, David A. Gregory is also an award-winning and accomplished playwright.
