This is a hilarious and adorable anime series. Also, another reason I love this series, as a connoisseur of folklore and myth, is the folklore in it.
In Takama-ga-hara, the Kingdom of Gods, Mayu, a nekogami (cat god), faces banishment by her own mother for her gambling habits. She now follows the ensuing mischief. On Earth, Mayu meets Yuzu, a human girl who owns an antique shop known as "Yaoyorozudou." There, the two girls, together with a few youthful gods, go on several adventures. Well, that's all I have to say.
When I first watched the series, I thought Mayu was a boy with her short hair and clothes. Throughout the series, I also pitied his father, as his wife constantly bossed him around and he endured her temper. I hate henpeckers. So overall, this is another awesome anime series. I thought it was very well written, and the animation is really cute! Now I hope they will release the series on a North American DVD and the manga in English someday.
