Wasn't a lot of connection between the two main characters. He did his sports training and she did her TV career stuff. But they didn't do much together. Didn't seem like a love story - just a story of 2 people doing their own things. He looks convincing in his part as does she. It felt a bit pointless though.

I watched this primarily to get a glimpse of Irene in her feature acting debut. The film is cute, but slight. Irene is really good, and assuredly has a fantastic secondary career ahead of her. I wish the film delved a little deeper. I wanted more character development. I wanted more food porn. I wanted more drama. Unfortunately, not much is on the line.
It is Irene's first movie and honestly l saw it because of her. Movie was empty l will say. We see character development that seemed bit unnatural.
It will never be the male or female leads fault to create such a plain and empty film I mean Will Smith cannot save this too. Hope that Irene would have some better taste in script picking.
Not much backstory or an enough context so it became really hard to get the plot and characters. Overall the movie was so boring.

This movie isn't good. Irenes acting is awkward, the guys acting is awkward, and the editing just makes this worse. I don't want to sound mean but i'm being honest, the whole movie is just awkward and doesn't make me feel anything.
I mainly came in watching this film for Joo-Hyun Bae (aka Irene from the K-Pop group "Red Velvet").
The film starts out hinting toward romance between the two main leads' characters. It almost becomes palpable in the scenes revolving around eponymous double patty hamburgers. But then the second half of the film takes a nose-dive into lacking direction. There is some drama, but it's a bit disappointing how it was executed. The drama occurs separate between the two main characters, which makes it even more disappointing. If the romance part was allowed to blossom between two main characters, it would have helped bridge their worlds together and bring more depth or nuance to the story.
As for Joo-Hyun Bae's (Irene's) acting, to me, felt no different from her public appearances through Red Velvet. Whether at a music show, variety show, or live broadcast. Her expressions were deadpan. I was hoping more range from her.

For those who are complaining there isn't enough backstory, then I guess you are watching the wrong film. This is not a love story but, a beautiful story of friendship. It is not your typical plot guy fall in love with the girl but two individuals who find comfort in each presence and find the reason to pursue their dreams.
I see irene i give good rating, no more chitchat cause wherever irene be a star on something it will be good. It never be dispointed when irene play it. You can judge me whatever you want. But i'll still simp for irene so shut up.
Very inspiring to be honest. I learnt from Joo-Hyun's character that inspite of what we all going through we need to stay focus on what we really want to do in life. Hardship is there, we may struggle a bit towards success but in the end we find it very fulfilling. No pain no gain, take courage. Her character gives hope to the guy and help him get up from misery. The atmosphere of the movie makes me feel the pandemic we all experiencing such as empty space, silent moment, few people which i find it more realistic. Good job Joo-Hyun.

I almost forgot watching it-it wasn't. It ended and you can think of an ending but it still wasn't there yet in the storyline. There is a pull with the main characters but they hadn't even agreed on a first date day. I liked the unusual start and the way you can tell they were together even though pursuing their own careers. Hopefully, either converting it to a series or having a part 2 is a possibility. The sister really livens it up because there is a certain melodrama feel to what both partners are going through that pulls down the vibe. Thats why I was hoping for a romantic explosion. Theres also the bar owner who is in the movie but Im not sure what hus part is so they need to follow that through.
