Nothing scintillating about the story, or the characters - but watch it for the scenery, which is simply astonishing.
Towards the end the lead male walks up to and chats with a group of beach-goers, and I found myself wondering why all human interactions couldn't be this unassuming.

This movie it's a rollercoaster because it starts very slow but gets a lot faster at the end also the love history isn't very convincing because doesn't feel real has a bad ending because it doesn't go to anywhere.

Loved seeing all the different parts of Perú, and even visuals aside, the movie shows local Cusco culture (dance, music, etc) so that was amazing. The plot line itself is cliche, the main characters are extremely immature which made it hard to get through, and I wish they used an actress that better represents what Peruvian women look like. She is beautiful but it's unrealistic that That's what she'd look like in a real situation, a more diverse couple would've been good. They're a couple in real life though so there was indeed chemistry between them!
The story is very common, obviously do not intend to get any award, but the movie deserve some attention. Stephanie's is a very beautiful actress, her character is very sexy and her smile worth the time. Wendy is a great performer. Peruvian landscape is fantastic. Watching the movie was a good experience. I got lighter after watching this movie.
If you want to watch a good movie . Go somewhere else.
Story is terrible. Wendy Ramos is the best thing that I can rescue from this movie
If you want to watch a commercial for PromPeru , then watch this.

Living in Peru and having seen Machu Picchu three times, I saw this movie quite warming. The shots of the mountains surely capture the breathtaking beauty. But the scenes of the homes and small businesses lead us to believe everyone lives in high-end gift shops or small museums, which would be quite attractive to pass-through tourists. But realists may want to look into the hearts of the people. The movie sets aside the tolerance that permeates the culture, keeping life in Peru quite enjoyable no matter what the rest of the world may be writhing about. Although the movie attempts to show Ariana as a nature and culture lover, it falls way too short of reality. Further, the title "Backpackers" also misleads us. In Spanish it's "Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar," which translates to "Until we return to see each other." Considering the immense amount of international backpackers who pass through the area, and the plethora of stories they have to tell, the translation of the title drops the movie in the wrong bin. The plot could occur in almost any vacation setting. But the scenery makes it worth watching again... perhaps with the sound turned off.

It feels like a run-of-the-mill movie with a lack of inventiveness. Even the premise is a cliche: opposites attract. As many of the reviewers mention clearly, the saving grace is wonderful Cusco specially if you're a travel bug.
Yet again, this isn't a travelogue. So there.
Stephanie Cayo and Maxi Iglesias have appeared in many other movies separately and did better there. And they have good chemistry together on screen. So, it's the trite script that's the issue here.

This love story is full of visually appealing exterior, but unfortunately is extremely superficial and cliché, a characteristic that at times makes it unwatchable.
We have already seen this plot 100's of times and if fails to offer any new or interesting perspectives into the complexities of real-world relationships, For viewers who are seeking depth and authenticity in cinematic storytelling, this is not for you.
Despite these shortcomings, the movie depicts beautiful scenery of Peru and Cuzco.
The breathtaking scenery, coupled with the undeniable aesthetic appeal of the cast is compelling to look at.
The film's overall presentation can be likened to an elaborate Instagram post: meticulously curated to highlight only the most picturesque and envy-inducing moments of life.
Everything on screen is polished to a glossy sheen, exuding an aura of perpetual fun and perfection.
This aesthetic excellence, while initially pleasing to the eye, ultimately rings hollow and unintering.

This film mainly suffers from poor writing. The story is predictable and it moves forward very quickly, failing to properly establish the characters. Even though the actors do a decent job, the plot is predictable and the dialogue seems stiff and forced. This takes away from the realism in the film, making the characters seem somewhat dumb at times.
However, the main take-away from this film is the beautiful views and landscapes in Peru which is heavily showcased. I was wowed several times during the film as it seems that it was actually filmed on location.
While the film offers good emotions and a sweet love story as well as magnificent views, it is not enough to make it a good movie.

This movie was very beautiful. It shows the beauty of Peru and some of its amazing culture and nature. The plot was okay, but it felt a little too simple in my opinion and nothing really special. The actors were not awesome but they were good and acceptable. I really liked the side characters who really made the movie better, and also the Peruvian music and dances that made the movie really entertaining. So in conclusion, the setting was really beautiful and the shown Peruvian culture was awesome, but the plot and actors could have been better.

Peru tried to hop on the international stage with this movie on Netflix but it's same old romantic film that we've seen thousand times. If you have seen a cliche romantic film in the past 20 years you already seen this film. Simply don't waste your time to watch this movie. There are plenty of films that are way better and romantic as well.

Netflix Peru should make a film called 'Pitucos of Miraflores' and they then could cast both Cayo and Iglesias in a more realistic tale suited to their profiles as snobby, rich, blonde pitucos living a life of luxury and decadence in South America's only beachside capital.
If you're going to make a film about Cusco and the Andes and not cast Andean actors in any of the main leads then I am going to give your film the low mark you deserve. It's 2023. I don't have the need to watch blonde people to gain my interest in your films, especially when in the city you set it in the vast majority of the population looks nothing like them.
Like I said, set the pair in Miraflores playing snobby, douchey pitucos and I will definitely buy a cinema ticket, buy the DVD and watch it again on Netflix, you're welcome.

If you want to feel like you are dying slowly from a terrible desease, just watch this movie. Such a petty, 'cause the city of Cusco has great landscapes but it was not enough to make this movie watchable.
The worst: the scriptwriter/director. Man... why did you do this? What did you try to do? What did you try to accomplish?
The best: Cusco, of course. But if you want to see this beautiful city, there's plenty of videos in youtube in better quality.

There is no plot whatsoever in this ... movie? The only feature to mention as relevant is the Art Direction and its use of landscapes. However, there is no connection, no link at all between the emotions the audience wants to experience and what they see. Quite frankly, the direction and the acting are poor. I am Peruvian and I love my country, yet I would not recommend watching this "film."

This movie is beautiful. It teaches us the value of the small details of life. All we have is our present and we need to start living instead of existing. You have to see it!!

Before my upcoming trip to Peru, I decided to relax and watch a movie to take my mind off of the stress of packing and planning. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete waste of time! The movie was so bad that I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I felt after watching it.
Poorly written and executed film that felt like a complete insult to the art of cinema. So poor it was almost laughable. I can't believe that anyone would actually greenlight something like this! Smh
I truly hope that Netflix takes responsibility for this terrible movie and makes sure that they don't release something like this again. It's unfair to those of us who enjoy movies and expect a certain level of quality. I hope my trip to Peru will compensate for this disappointment!!

Whoever is looking for an original love-story here, in my opinion is missing the boat.
The love-story is secondary and the setting is a pleasurable experience... thr travel through a beatiful unbeaten country and enjoy/discover. Its ancient architecture, music, food, dance, costumes, legends...
It's a gift.
And on top of its theres the message of the alternative qualities of living, in sync-with-nature vs modern-city.
Delicious!

The movie "Without saying goodbye" has a great commercial appeal, it looks like an advertisement for a male cologne: handsome, single successful man and a beautiful blonde latina. The director and producers don't even use actors with any resemblance to Latino people.
This is a typical "Hallmark" movie, which offends Peruvian and Latino culture. This is a terrible movie with beautiful Cuzco images.

I know that country and it has some parts like the movie and others too arranged, some stuff int he movie culture does not correspond, they use things originating in Mexico like the crazy bull on fire, the story is boring, but it can be entertaining.
Absolutely a made for TV movie. And so is the actress Stephanie Cayo. And I don't understand why a man would chase after a woman that says she doesn't believe in marriage or romance. Compares it like to being chaided to a bridge. And every time a problem comes her way she runs. She's not worth it. Why chase after this one when there's so many amazing women in this world. Plus it says she's 34 but she looks more like 44. Just saying. I watch it but one I'll put on my list to never watch again.
