A great number of Las Vegas Juvenile Offenders suffer from mental illness. Almost 70 percent of the adolescents in Nevada's Juvenile Justice System are being treated for some type of mental disorder.
Approximately sixty-five to seventy percent of the two million children and adolescents arrested each year in the United States have a mental health disorder. Almost one in four suffers from a mental illness so severe it impairs his or her ability to function as a young person and grow into a responsible adult.
