MGM+ has unveiled the official trailer for its highly-anticipated series, Beacon 23.

The sci-fi drama will debut on Sunday, November 12, on MGM+ at 9:00 p.m. Et/Pt with the first two of eight episodes.

Zak Penn created the series and executive produced along with Glen Mazzara.

It is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by High Powey.

"Beacon 23 takes place in the farthest reaches of the Milky Way and follows Aster (Lena Headey), a government agent, and Halan (Stephan James), a stoic ex-military man, whose fates become entangled after they find themselves trapped together inside one of many Beacons that serve as a lighthouse for intergalactic travelers," according to the logline.

Netflix fans have pushed a new recruit into the most-streamed programming charts for the past week. The Noah Centineo-led series “The Recruit,” following a rookie CIA agent in an international political drama, debuted its first two episodes atop the streaming charts. The series joined Netflix’s “Wednesday” and “Harry & Meghan,” both of which remained on the charts in this week’s edition of Samba TV’s Weekly Wrap report.

The Wrap report provides an exclusive first look at the most-watched movies and individual TV programs from the past week across both linear television and streaming. Viewership insights come from data collected from a panel of more than 3 million households drawn from over 25 million connected TVs balanced to the U.S. Census. For the second consecutive week, Netflix dominated the streaming charts, sweeping each of the top 10 placements.

In the latest TV show ratings, Coroner closed out Season 4 (at the very least) on The CW with a two-episode average of 410,000 total viewers (its second-best Stateside audience of the season) and its first 0.1 demo rating since Oct. 9.

The CBC at this time has “no further updates” (since the one given in June) on the prospect of a Serinda Swan-less Season 5, or a super-official cancellation.
