The voice of the "Rock" was played by writer/director Kris Salvi.
Real life couple Gabrielle Rosson and Kris Salvi hadn't seen each other in almost two months when they filmed A Rock Feels No Pain, due to quarantine restrictions. The film was made in protest against the isolation of Covid-19. It was also a way to prove to New England filmmakers that with a little creativity films could still be made using the principals of social distancing.
The cemetery featured in the film is the St. Bernards Cemetery in Fitchburg, MA.
Justin Thibault has said this role represented exactly how he was feeling at that point in time.
The cat featured in the film is Lily, Kris Salvi's pet cat.
