William Forsythe was originally cast as Ellis but was unable to continue filming after contracting COVID-19 and was subsequently replaced by Jeff Fahey.
The film's working title was Pálido which is a Spanish word that translates to 'pale' in English. Pálido is referenced in the film by a Spanish-speaking eyewitness on TV when describing the nighttime vigilante portrayed by Kellan Lutz.
The drift Car used in the film belongs to Jack Reyna, the director's son and the reason the main character drives a drift car and not a motorcycle, as the director had originally planned.
Due Justice was filmed 100% in Seattle. Most films about Seattle are not.
Part of the crew had to chase and secure a criminal until police showed up after the criminal broke the production office glass windows.
