Wish you all had not used the Baumlers as judges. They are the worse one's you have had. As far as I am concerned, they do not have the experience to judge anything!!!
I love watching this show and I always like to hear what the judges have to say about all the renovations. Like anything else sometimes I feel the judges pick the wrong winner, but I know sometimes it has to do with individual tastes. That being said it was very difficult for me to watch Bryan and Sarah make their comments/decisions. For me they just don't have the TV chemistry. Sorry just how I see it. Hope next season will have new judges. Still looking forward to next weeks show. Im very curious to see who is deemed the winner. My choice so far is the young marries couple, they were the only team to add an extra bedroom.

I watch every HGTV show possible and love it. But Battle on the Beach is getting harder and harder to watch. Starting to not seem genuine and trying to torture people and likely shoddy unsafe work. It causes so much stress and tension that I thinking of undoing my recording . 2023 is high unnecessary stress. It's not fair to judge their ideas when they don't get to pick their workers or contractor, so not real judge of their work!,,, they may not work in extreme speed in their normal environment so im thinking it's an " acting" job? Should be two " different" judges like with the property brothers when they compete. They work fast but NO high stress.
Ty Pennington was a carpenter and designer on TLC's Trading spaces - also the host of Extreme Makeover on ABC (winning 2 emmy's) . He is a trained certified carpenter - that should give him plenty enough stars to know about "building construction"
Super fun show. I love watching each team transform these rooms. Lots of creativity and awesome designs!
I do feel the judging is off and maybe biased to certain design styles. I have not agreed yet with the judges pick for the winners of the rooms. Brandon and Roosevelt (Father/son team) should have won the bedroom and living room challenges. Their transformations were gorgeous. My husband and I were really shocked their bedroom and bath did not win as hands down their transformation was GORGEOUS!!
I feel there needs to be a better judging system other than a husband/wife judge. It needs to be more fair. Have 3 judges all separate in their expertise. Use a point system, etc.
Great show though!!

Who is responsible for editing this show? The beginning of each episode shows completed rooms!! Are the viewers supposed to be people with short-term memory problems? Create some tension and excitement.... Wait for the end for the reveals!

On the whole I enjoy watching contestants show creativity to design the homes. However, the mentors sometimes become nasty in their competitiveness. In particular Ms. Victoria says things about the other groups that comes off unkind and arrogant. While she is talented, she always thinks her team should win. Makes it hard to root for her team.

I've watched the other shows of this ilk but this season of BOTB is lame! The contestants look exhausted, too much drama and disagreements, and why in the world would you have the same judges for all the rooms. How is that even fair? I love HGTV, but come on guys, if it's not quality don't air it! So disappointed.

I don't understand why HGTV puts this horrible, talentless, mean spirited woman on television. She's terrible. She has completely ruined the show.
Her husband is a saint for putting up with this annoying, rude woman. It's really offensive how ugly she is with her comments when she is as talentless as they come in interior design. She is not an interior designer and has no natural talent in it or even design background.
Just all and all BAD. And why they have that woman judging Battle on the Beach is beyond me. She's completely unqualified to critique anyones design work and her comments are off putting, mostly off base, catty, rude and so wrong. She couldn't compete and win against any of them. The only reason she is even on TV is because she rides the coattails of her talented and skilled husband. I hope they get her off of TV soon.

I really liked the 1st season where the contestants AND judges were good.
On this 2nd season, the "judge" Sarah Baeumler is really negative and her attitude/snarky rude comments destroy this show. There is no reason to be this way when dealing with amateur designers/flippers. She has ZERO idea how to use "constructive" critique, she's a negative drama queen
If not for her, the show would be worth watching.

This show is so bad. S eke like hdtv is throwing some average people off the street, throwing some hdtv actors on the show for drama for a craptastic sandwich.
So rock the block turned from showing how stuff was done into now pure drama. Better trades content on YouTube. This show has a bunch of hdtv actors referee people who walked into Home Depot. The fact that Mike Holmes lets his name even be associated to the two aforementioned shows clearly shows he has sold out.
I used to like these shows because you learned something. Or you saw something you wanted to emulate. Now, it's just a soap opera. Where these people think they are celebrities who make so over the top houses that look good for their magazine but no one wants to live in. Or like this show, is so mediocre work.
I remember back when Ty Pennington in season 1 of extreme makeovers. The project was small and something an average person could do. He told trade secrets and acumen relevant to the show. Now you just have 5 hosts. So terrible and disappointing. I think I'll just go to YouTube and watch Bob build something on the channel "I like to make stuff". Because he actually knows what ha talking about, shows it and makes something with quality in mind.

I have never watched any show this biased. The father and son team were judged unfairly every room. There was never anything positive said about the rooms. Even the room they won they added a huge "but" after rewarding them. Now I know why I have never watched renovation island!!!! The winning house didn't even come across as a beach house, unless you were outside. Total waste of television.

First of all, it's very obvious that they try to make sure each "team" gets a win or else the last episode wouldn't matter, so it's obviously not a real competition. There are some design concepts that are clearly dangerous and would never pass inspection but only a small portion of those are discussed. Ty Pennington's voice is like nails on a chalkboard and he's always screaming. Why? So bad, but there's nothing else on.

Roosevelt and Brandon should have won several times. They picked other teams who had significant cons Sydney Roosevelt and Brandon only had one or two
Why pick a husband and wife who will not judge independently And why tell who did what room allowing them to be biased and even racist
Terrible, stopped watching Get better judges, make it more fair.

I loved Rock the Block, so I tuned in to Battle on the Beach. The first season was fun and I appreciated how differently each team made previously identical houses look. It's great learning new styles and everyone was professional and talented. I was so happy when Egypt and Mike won! My hopes were high for this season but I find it almost unwatchable. Ty Pennington's voice is literally brain sandpaper. Why must he scream in that high pitched voice all the time? Should I even mention he literally looks like a homeless guy with a serious hangover? Stocking caps, pajama bottoms, unshaven with dirty hair - gross! There is so much more fake, personal drama and pointless, time wasting "challenges". I don't need to see someone repeatedly cut wood with a saw, or a close up of someone crying. We watch these shows to see the design options and outcomes - this feels like The Real Housewives of somewhere. UGH!

Comments of judges do not match the awards to the announced winners. These Australian judges repeatedly discriminate against the Black male team whose designs far exceeded those of other teams with fewer flaws. Additionally the air time is significantly more for Ty's and Allison's teams. Appears to demonstrate repeat rampant discrimination in air time and judging.
Different expert judges for different house areas would curtail some of this. Additionally the television audience should vote to see the differences in the so called designer judges' evaluations against what the tv audience does.
How did the show come up with such inept design challenged judges who no need be here ever heard of? They are horrible.
The father son team did the best job bar none on the bedroom suite and master bathroom. Additionally their finishes add more value. The so called twig headboard did not go up far enough on that massive wall to even appear as a headboard but was not viewed by these so called design expert judges as a shortcoming.
Rock the Block is a much better show.

It's so frustrating watching these people do shoddy work. When I watch someone not even know how to hold a paintbrush properly and not know how to put enough paint on a roller...ugh!
Women doing work with their hair in their face instead of being pulled up and out of the way .. or the total up-do's, who the heck does that?
What carpenter chokes up on a hammer instead of holding it properly? They are wimpy doing demo like they've never done it before.
TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT.

First couple of battle shows were OK but enough is enough already. Get creative and find something else to do because this idea has been beat to death. Besides, it's always the same old builders and designers. Yawn.

I love the concept of taking homes and renovating them by normal people to sell & improve communities, how Ree, If these judges continue you will lose a fan of the show. They are Rude & obnoxious and They ruin the show for me. The HGTV family is huge, find someone else to judge and please replace Alison Victoria as she is another one that needs to go. She's supposed to be a consultant, not the designer. I hate that it's her way or nothing. Please get new judges for next season. Please send Alison Victoria packing. Keep Tanya & Ty. Love tge Hgtv family & shows, but I'll have one less hour of hgtv episodes if those judges stay on this show.
Allison stop taking it personally when your team doesn't do exactly what you want! And you are not a team player. When your team was behind on getting stuff done, instead of criticizing them you should have hopped in to help out! I love your design shows, but I don't like the way you treat your team. Get off your high horse and actually be a part of the team! Stop being a spoiled brat
Time for new judges too! Bring in someone who doesn't have a specific design style. Someone who can appreciate a different design style than their own.
I love the concept of this show but it's falling flat. You should give the contestants more man power to get the job done correctly. I would not want to be the person to buy one of those houses that are not finished properly!

The team leaders of battle of the beach should be more professional. I cought as well as did the camera a couple times some inappropriate behavior behind the Ryan's wife's back or even seeing Ryan give his team leader more support than his wife made me not want to watch the show. Home wreaker rather than home renovation team helper. Disappointed by this for HGTV. If I was to see it again I would stop watching the show all together. Sarah should not be a part of the show. I hope the couple stayed together after the show. Sick sick sick. Get rid of Sarah. I don't have much to say about this show because of that Sarah's behavior was sick.

Why in the world don't they give them more time to finish? The rooms are put together with shoddy workmanship because it is not enough time to do a good job. What do the judges expect? And what happens to the properties after the show? Won't they have to go in and fix everything anyway? It does not make sense and is unfair to the contestants! The element of stress is not enjoyable to watch. The producers should know that the reason an HGTV audience is watching is to watch good design and designers - not tension because of lack of time. You need a new approach to make it more fun and informative about design and building practices. New production approach!
