This film was not as bad as the ratings. It was funny and had good structure. The characters were likeable and each cast member brought fun elements to their role. Making it into an alien film was a good choice as with the added elements of laser tag the film took good direction. Overall a pretty good and fun film that I could see there being a sequel for.

It was very late and I was bored and this popped up on some movie service I have and I don't remember which. I happened to see the title while looking for something else to watch tonight and thought I would write a review for it.
It reminded me of Tucker and Dale which had me in stitches for the first hour. Tucker and Dale is a better movie on many levels but that doesn't mean this is unwatchable. I had to get past a few thing, like the way they talk and the slow start. I never fell asleep and ended up watching the whole thing. There were some genuine laughs for what is obviously a low production. I would give it a go some time.

I don't like slapstick comedy and I didn't think I'd enjoy this. But the trailer look like an Edgar Wright film so I have it a whirl.
The stand out scenes all took place in the police station with the three leads Axel Bøyum, Fredrik Skogsrud and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal. For me this is where the humour was the strongest. Their comic timing was perfect and I can't help but think it would have been a stronger movie had it have been those three stuck in a room during an alien invasion. Ingar Helge Gimle provided nice additional support also.
I found the scenes in the woods with the other buddies set the film back a lot. André Sørum did his best with what he had but one can't help but wonder how much better he'd have fared at the police station with the main players.
It's a movie I'd watch again. It was light hearted fun and just what the world needs in these dark times
6/10.

It never happened to me to watch a movie and hate absolutely every character. It's really amazing that a director can screw up everything in a movie. Waste of opportunity and a waste of time for me, because I watched it until the end.
The trailer was so much fun. Such a shame that the middle part was messy and the dialogue+writing needed a lot of sprucing up. I wish the whole movie was as good as the end scene.
Didn't come close to reach the height of Edgar Wright's "Cornetto Trilogy" and the 2 main leads are no Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. But probably budget is the issue, it looked like a 2010 Syfy movie of the week at times. But VFX complaint aside, the 2010 vibe is a plus in my book since we don't get something like this anymore. Overall an ok watch if you don't have anything else.

I saw a trailer and thought it looked really good. Then I watched the movie and was rather bored. The idea just couldn't sustain the length of the movie. It became annoying to have the same characters doing the same thing over and over.
Ultimately I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and even cancelled my netflix subscription.

If you sit back and enjoy it for what it is, it's tones of fun. It's by no means a serious film, its very silly, but in a really fun way. The jokes landed for me, and it was well made with decent effects. There's a really great monster design towards the end too.
I like the fact there's all round character growth too, except for one guy... But the others wise up to him. It has that "Buddy Cop" feel with the two leads. One is serious but needs to let loose, and the other is too loose, but together they're great.
I loved the roomba, it just really got me!

It was too silly. We had to watch it all though in order to know what would happened at the end, but it was so predictable. I'm not sure if those "jokes" are a Norwegian thing. It's like if they were writing the script while the movie was being recorded. Two long long hours...

Your usual 80s SciFi movie except there's no likeable hero or plot you'd like to follow. The blasts come from lazer-tag guns that kill aliens. Whole movie explained.

Don't get the low score? Deserves a least a 6 or 6,5 in my book. It's was a lot of fun! Great execution and funny actors who nailed the buddy tongue-in-cheek action. I liked it was Norwegian and it is very well made. I wouldn't mind a continuation of the story.

Hey it's a Norwegian sci fi movie-- pretty good better than most and very funny. Something a bit different than regular usa movies and again funny. Kind of like early Simon pegg movies.

What did I just watch? Huh? C'mon, really? I mean seriously? This is perhaps one of the worst movies I have ever watched. I get it, it's a sci-fi comedy, but seriously, c'mon!

Things like should never go beyond a draft let on being made and then released. Netflix's agenda is quantity over quality which is back firing. As Netflix doesn't have test screens for audiences everything gets released once made.
This one felt like some childhood wish came through for the makers, i bet it must of lot of fun shooting it but the script has no soul or humour to keep you engaged. Took me 3 days to finish it while being on my phone. If that's your thing then go fry your brain with this mediocrity.

The absolute worst piece of garbage. I have ever watched. No matter how bad you think it might be, it's worse. The acting is embarrassing. Maybe an 8 year old would like it but I doubt it.

You've seen this before: a silly comedy about aliens invading some isolated place where quirky people find the tools to repel them. And you've seen comedies that rely almost exclusively on the charm of their stars. The actors were charming and fun enough and the premise amusing. The effects were adequate.
However, it was way too silly and unstructured for me to enjoy. Other commenters have suggested I stop overthinking it and just enjoy it. Well, I am an overthinker, so this film is clearly not for me. Not that it wasn't funny, but I had to skip large portions of it and in the end I just wanted to get it over with.
Bottom line: adequate, but not recommended.

Decent effects but struggles with the story and characters. You will find all standards but nothing new or captivating.
Decent thrills (from time to time)but not funny.
Wish to be able to give more stars but it miss so many opportunities for a decent movie it would not be fair.
It feels that the movie borrows from all the others but add nothing on its own. Shame.
Watchable - but that is all.

The first half is heavy going and not as funny as it think it is. But if you stick with it, once the alien invasion kicks in, you will be rewarded with an enjoyable second half.
This movie has its moments of humour, but it doesn't keep delivering, Sometimes it tries to have emotional impact, but fails. Plus this movie it too long by at leas 30 minutes. It kept dragging things out and I was thinking when will it get to the point. There are alot of shots of Norwegian forests, in fact too many. Obviously a low budget film. Also there are a few references to some Hollywood films, if you have seen those films you'll know. The dialogue seems to be lost in translation, because alot of what was said wasn't funny. The acting was OK, but the actors didn't seem to know how their characters should act. This movie does not deserve the 1 and 2 star rating it got nor does it deserve the 8 through 10 star ratings, it is not the worst movie ever nor is it super entertaining. Its worth a watch if you want something different, but you might want to fast forward through some of it.

Norway, you did it again!
I so enjoy Norwegian humor, and science fiction movies. Put those two together, and you have a hit. I can understand most Norwegian, so I watched with subtitles (hate dubbing). There were many moments when I laughed so much my gut ached. Reminded me a bit of Saun of the Dead, minus the zombies. I am totally not getting the low ratings. Watch this!

One of those either/or movies, and definitely not for everyone. It is a comedy first, sci-fi second. Sci-fi barely. The two stars are popular in northern europe and the comic vibe is very similar to the near-slapstick notes you might remember from British TV in the 1960s.

Film that generally gives a very ugly feeling of embarrassment and inadequacy to the viewer that pervades him throughout the film making it excessively difficult to watch and also making it too embarrassing to finish without experiencing immense effort in doing so.

I like watching foreign language films with English subtitles because they just think differently when making films in other countries. Anyways this wasn't good. It had a lot of potential and it would have been better if it was made into a horror movie. It was just annoying at times.

What a letdown. Usualy european movies can avoid clichés much better then US flix. But this norwegian SciFi comedy is like an Adam Sadler film with amateur actors.
