Audiometry shows that hearing in both ears is affected equally.
At the beginning of the movie, when Alejandro is asked to go to the airport for interrogation, he says it's a holiday and that he can go the following Monday. However, after the interrogation, he goes to the clinic where his lover works as a doctor, and storms into the examination room while she is seeing a patient.
