While the animation and art style is not something to be worth screaming about (as it just looks like Amazing World of Gumball, which ironically enough, most crew members also worked on this show) the immersion of its world, writing, and overall educational value of the show make this worth talking about! This show is similar to that of cartoons like Captain Planet, but with a serialized story, actual character arcs, and weirdly enough, additional lessons about financial decision making. When I researched the show up, it was obvious to me that this weird mix of financial and environmental messaging comes from the show being commissioned by the Chinese conglomerate Alibaba, who also owns the company Ant Financial (who also has a mascot that looks similar to Xiao Yi). It is also very fitting for this show that the world chosen for its environmental and anti-pollution messaging is one of living insects.
About every episode of the first season is free to watch on YouTube, and it is very quick to finish considering the typical episode length isn't very long. I hope the show continues!
