a good movie about contemporary happenings in chennai. harsh reality on how dangerous city life can be with the kind of law enforcement in our metropolitan cities. shows how life can turn upside down when people take the law in their hands.the kind of havoc unknown people can cause in life for unknown reasons. the protagonist lives up to the title of the movie depicting the helplessness of finding the truth and ending up in the wrong side of the law though it appears justified. no eye-candy romance, no gravity defying stunts,no distracting comedy sidekicks the director delivers what he wants to say and boy is he spot on.refreshing change in Tamil films.hope people sit up and notice this genuine effort by the director and his team.

After a spellbinding performance in Paruthi Veeran (2007) and a being a part of a plot less movie Paiyaa (2010), Karthik enticed me to watch his third popular film Naan Mahaan Alla. To say the least I was thoroughly disappointed by the movie. The movie like any other popular Tamil cinema starts of well but half way down the film becomes a mere drag. All characters including the protagonist seems like mere caricatures and the content of the story doesn't enhance the film in any way.
Kajal is beautiful and cute as always but just an eye candy in the film. This is a clear indication of how male-dominated Tollywood is. An action South Indian cinema has to have some psychotic killers who don't think twice before committing a heinous crime like murder. This film is no different and of course only the 'Hero' of the movie can put them in place.
All other characters like Kajal's father, the gangster who befriends Karthik, are developed only to enhance Karthik's role further, but the story is so mediocre that they cannot be blamed in failing to do so.
To conclude, I would just say that this movie is only for those who do not expect anything from a movie, and accept whatever the director/writer offer them in platter. Poor writing, poor execution and waste-of-time-and-money movie. Purely based on karthik's performance (in his entire career), I will give this movie 1 out of 10 stars.
