We first reported last month about the upcoming exploitation film House of Flesh Mannequins that's been grabbing a lot of attention and awards within the horror circuit.

We've recently been informed that the film is now available for pre-orders through Amazon.com (Click here to Pre-Order "House Of Flesh Mannequins".) The film will release via Empire Films on February 21. Check out the full details below from the official press release.

Lost Soul is the first film completed by Pathfinder Productions and readied for film markets. This is a psychological thriller that mixes the occult, a damaged individual and a couple just trying to get by. Dark and light collide in this tale of terror, which stars Nick Mancuso (Deadtime Stories 2) and Dave Vescio (Virus X). Vescio, a theatrically trained actor, plays Donald, a shy man with the ability to summon supernatural elements, and prolific actor Mancuso portrays Dr. Charles Crowther, a man investigating some strange goings-on in a local apartment. Will Crowther uncover Vescios demonic powers? "A sexually obsessed loner's (Vescio) practice of the occult shatters a young couples dreams, drawing them into a supernatural nightmare. Lost Soul is a psychological thriller from Pathfinder Productions that will release domestically February 2012. Currently the film is at the American Film Market and starring are Nick Macuso (Deadtime Stories 2) and Dave Vescio (Virus X). The story follows a demented man as he practices with the occult and finds some success. Now , the first trailer is available for this picture, which shows some of the special effects from the feature. As well, enjoy the first graphic for the film that shows Vescio as Donald a man with a dark portal to the supernatural. More details are below.

Corbin Bleu I never thought in my lifetime that I would be running a post talking about a horror film starring both Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) and Bill Oberst Jr. (Dismal). The two seem so completely opposite of one another. Corbin Bleu was this cute little kid in High School Musical. I recently heard that one of my friends had caught H1N1. In all serious and embarrassment, I wildly proclaimed, "She has an Std"?! Upon further examination of my rash thought however, I realized that the H1N1 virus merely seems like an after thought these days. Its peak had passed and a little more over a year since then, its name bore no meaning to me. Virus X aims to use the threat of H1N1 and the people still crazy about its existence, to its advantage. Unfortunately it simply becomes a boring and at times laughable account of a virus we no longer seem to care about.

Despite having only several titles released this week in our beloved genre, some of them are deemed very worthy of our hard-earned dollars.

While there were strong initial feelings about a Us remake of a damn near perfect foreign film, the end result is hauntingly accessible to fans of both the book as well as its film adaptation, Let the Right One In. How will you feel about it? Decide for yourself this week. Once you're done with your decision making, raise your Hatchets high and get ready to have a bloody good time because the movie they didn't want you to see is finally here! From there after slugging it out in the swamps of Louisiana, get ready to face off against extraterrestrials in Gareth Edwards' Monsters!

As 2010 draws to a close, Lionsgate is busy polishing up its DVD and Blu-ray slate for 2011 with the release of two new terrors as well as an old classic which there can be only one of!

Virus X - February 1st

This February the terror is real as Virus X makes its DVD, Digital Download and On Demand debut from Lionsgate. An Official Selection of the 2010 Shriekfest and the Eerie Horror Fest 2010, the film stars Domiziano Arcangeli (The Brides of Sodom) and Sybil Danning (Halloween). This sci-fi DVD debut also contains two production featurettes.

Talk about late to the party.  February will see the release of Virus X, a direct-to-dvd thriller about a mutant H1N1 virus (aka swine flu) that runs amok.  The film stars Domiziano Arcangel (Frankenstein Rising), Joe Zaso (Braincell), and Sybil Danning (Chained Heat). The team at Lionsgate is releasing their own virus on us all, well, Virus X to be exact, just in time for Valentine's Day. The medical horror film (previously known as H1N1: Virus X) will hit the video market on February 1st, 2011. Make sure to bundle up for this one a check out the details below!

The movie is directed by Ryan Stevens Harris and stars Domiziano Arcangeli, Joe Zaso, and Sybil Danning. It seems that the only DVD extras will be two featurettes, which include 'The Making of Virus X' and 'Behind-the-Scenes of Virus X'.

It's that time once again! Another one of our favorite film festivals, Shriekfest 2010, has unveiled its first round of films for you lovers of indie terror out there, and we got the scoop on what to expect!

Shriekfest Film Festival's 2010 lineup includes such recognizable names as Doug Jones, Lance Henriksen, Danielle Harris, and Tiffany Shepis in the West Coast Premiere of Cyrus: Mind of a Serial Killer; Sybil Danning and Domiziano Arcangeli in the World Premiere of H1N1: Virus X; Robert Picardo and Richard Gross in the World Premiere of The Awakened; John Savage, Bronson Pinchot, Travis Schuldt, and Natalie Zea in From a Place of Darkness; and Brian Krause, Kadeem Hardison, Barbara Nedeljakova, John Gulager, and Richard Gant in the World Premiere of Ashes.

The roster encompasses 36 films and 32 screenplay finalists. Awards will be awarded in many categories, including an award for the Best Feature Film and Best Under 18 film/screenplay.
