During the original broadcast of season one, Bristol-born narrator Jenny Coverack was criticized by viewers for her exaggerated Cornish accent and pronunciation. This criticism was acknowledged by executive producer Andrew Sheldon, and the narration for all subsequent repeat broadcasts was re-recorded by John Nettles, who took over as narrator in season two.
