Superstar Allu Arjun on Tuesday celebrated the 20th anniversary of his cult classic film ‘Arya’, and said that it changed the “course of my life.” Allu took to X and shared the poster of filmmaker Sukumar’s 2004 cult classic.

“20 years of Arya. It’s not just a movie… it’s a moment in time that changed the course of my life. Gratitude forever,” he wrote.

The romantic action comedy ‘Arya’, which also stars Anuradha Mehta, is touted to be one of the best films by Allu. It helped the actor gain the spotlight in his career and brought recognition for Sukumar in Telugu cinema.

The film had a spiritual sequel titled ‘Arya 2’, which was released in 2009.

‘Arya’ narrates the story of Arya, an outgoing and free-spirited boy named Arya, who falls in love with Geetha, an introverted girl, who is on the shield of another man named Ajay.

Chennai, June 9: The cast and crew of superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer upcoming Telugu action-thriller "1: Nenokkadine" will head to Europe for a two-month long schedule, starting June 18.

Produced by 14 Reels Entertainment, "1: Nenokkadine" also features Sayaji Shinde, Kelli Dorji, Vikram Singh and Srinivasa Reddy.

"Mahesh's '1: Nenokkadine' will be shot in some of the exotic locations such as London and Ireland in Europe from June 18. The team will shoot non-stop for 60 days," said a statement from the production house.

Sukumar Bandreddi, known for helming films such as "Arya" and "Arya 2", is directing the film,.

Chennai, April 7: Telugu actor Navdeep Pallapollu, known for films like "Chandamama", "Arinthum Ariyamulam" and "Arya 2" is happy that filmmakers are keeping him busy with as many as six Telugu projects.

New Delhi, Mar 3: Salman Khan has reportedly turned down the offer for 'Arya 2' as he is not interested in the Bollywood remake of the South Indian blockbuster.

The 46-year-old actor, who has delivered hits like 'Ready' and 'Bodyguard', has decided not to do any more Hindi remakes of southern films.

According to reports, a special screening of the Telugu version of the film was also held.

South remakes continue to dominate Hindi cinema. The latest one to be added to the list is Telugu blockbuster Arya 2 which originally starred Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal.

Ronnie Screwalla (Utv) acquired the rights of the remake back in 2009 and now there seems to be industry buzz of a remake finally taking off. Whilst no details have been finalised yet talks of original director Sukumar debuting in Hindi are definitely making the rounds.

Extra thought is being given to the soundtrack of the film, which was a mega hit down South and also stole the attention of many across the state. Hyderabad, Dec 16 (Ians) Angry over actor-turned-politician K. Chiranjeevi’s volte-face on the issue of separate statehood to Telangana region, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (Trs) and other groups Wednesday stopped screening of films featuring his son and other family members.

Protesting the reported decision of Chiranjeevi to oppose the central government’s proposed move to form a separate Telangana state, the activists of Trs and other groups forcibly stopped screening of “Magadheera”, starring his son Ram Charan Teja, and “Arya 2″ starring Allu Arjun.
