All the sandwiches used in the film are edible.
The film was shot on location at Matt's grandparents' home, Arizona State University and various neighborhoods in Downtown Phoenix.
The film was originally conceived as a short story while Matt worked at Subway Sandwiches in the summer of 2007. He later adapted it for his thesis film at Arizona State.
Cast member Abraham Ntonya plays four "blink and you'll miss it" roles in the film.
