Jeff S. Dodge and Clint Sargent have been
collaborating on what they term, 'the social-political-sci-fi psycho-drama genre' for over 13 years. They're latest venture is an independently produced full feature that pays homage to the works of classic directors Stanley Kubrick, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and John Boorman.
As Mr. Dodge puts it, "'Steele' is kind of like that period of Sci-Fi film after '2001' but before 'Star Wars'-ya know, 'Logans Run' and that kind of stuff; where special effects were new but not mastered". Both graduates of History, Mr. Dodge and Mr. Sargent formed Darge Productions in 1992 as a creative outlet that would examine the ridiculous politics of leaders and the various redundancies of scenarios throughout history blended with Science Fiction based standards.
