Lots of great footage, narration was good and background music wasn't annoying or to loud.
Overall I thought this was a well made series on world war two and enjoyed watching it.

Put together carelessly and without much understanding. The quality if the clips are generally excellent. The narration is riddled with errors and heavily british twit centric.
Not useful a source of history or perspective, but if you know the history or don't care, a visual near revelation.
Compare to 'world at war.' more than twice as much coverage, not too many repeated shots., more errors of fact.

One of the worst documentaries, not just on the Second World War, that I've ever seen. The commentary is bland and error filled. I actually thought the program must have been made at least 40 years ago; I could not believe that it was made in 20290. Unbelievably bad. What's worse, nobody bothered to check the subtitles. They were so error filled that it actually became a joke. Apparently, the first world war lasted from 1914 to 1980! And The evil Nazis apparently invaded the Baltic nations of Latvia, Estonia and Lusitania.
