Official plot: This live concert by stand-up comedian Tom Wilson offers witty, family friendly commentary and humorous musical performances.
As a fan of Tom Wilson, there were some aspects of this that I was disappointed by. He tells tuba jokes that are identical to ones he told on Johnny Carson's show a long time ago. And he does the "Question Song", which many have seen online (although it is updated and improved somewhat). So this is not all new material.
That being said, there is still plenty to love here. Wilson has numerous voices, can sing, plays instruments, and is a genuinely funny guy. He may not be the best stand-up comedian, but he has a talent and personality that keep you cheering him on as he goes. The haiku songs are -- for the most part -- downright hilarious.
I think if Wilson does a follow-up, and distances himself from his "Back to the Future" past, he could make an awesome special. Every movie and television role he has done is great ("Freaks and Geeks" especially). I would give him another chance at stand-up.
