Burnt Flowers, the new film from writer/director Michael Fausti, begins with a series of scenes swiftly moving back and forth between London’s Rose Bar in 1968, Islington in 1983 and the Islington Police Station in 1992.
The last location is where Detective Franc Alban has a visitor, Alice Kyteller. She’s there to report a missing person, her husband Austin whom she last saw eight years ago in a brothel. Why has she waited so long to report him missing? “I thought he might come back”. She can’t offer any information and hasn’t so much as asked his friends about him, but she is sure that she and Detective Alban have met before.
If all of this sounds strange, you haven’t seen anything yet. The director...

Essex Indie production company Tis Films (I Scream on the Beach!, Video Shop Tales of Terror) have launched a new Indiegogo campaign for the horror-comedy film Pie-Thon, which will be included as part of the horror anthology feature HorrorScopes Volume 2: Chinese Zodiac.
What is Pie-thon?
Pie-thon is a satirical horror from Tis Films – it revolves around a pie eating contest that goes wrong when the pies are spiked with snakes – hilarity and horror ensues. It will be part of the horror anthology feature film HorrorScopes Vol. 2.
We are looking to make Pie-thon really colourful and fun.
HorrorScopes Vol.2
Pie-thon will feature as the “Snake” segment for Mycho’s HorrorScopes Volume 2: Chinese Zodiac.
We produced the “Leo” segment for the first HorrorScopes film and Pie-thon acts as a de facto sequel to that segment.
Tony Mardon in Leo What the hell is Tis Films?

After a hugely successful premiere of Video Shop Tales of Terror, which sold out at Horror on Sea, we are delighted to announce that it will arrive on physical media in the Autumn of 2023.
The film will launch the brand-new Video Dungeon label and will be limited to 250 copies.
This is the first of a currently planned three releases. The profits from the Video Shop Tales Of Terror Blu-ray will go directly into funding subsequent Video Shop films.
We will also be partnering with other filmmakers to release their features, and unlike most distributors, our focus is giving them the lion’s-share of the profits to fund their future endeavours and our profits will be funnelled into future film projects.
We want to give film fans truly original releases which have been lovingly put together with the viewer and collector in mind. Our releases will be very limited runs of...

In his latest interview from this year’s Romford Horror Film Festival, Kevin sits down with eleven(!) members of the cast and crew of the new British horror anthology Video Shop Tales of Terror.
Six terrifying tales emanate from a sinister video shop in this British retro anthology movie and loving tribute to the 1980s VHS era. Every tale is handled by a respected indie horror director: Mj Dixon (Pandamonium), Sam Mason-Bell (Acting), Ciao Handy (Tales from the Great War), Alexander Churchyard (I Scream on the Beach!), Tom Lee Rutter (Day of the Stranger) and Michael Fausti (Exit). With faux trailers from Geoff Harmer (Dead Air) & Tony Mardon (The Witches of the Sands). Immerse yourself in two hours of retro horror nostalgia, from a bunch of people who love the era as much as you do! This is an anthology horror in the classic style of horror studios from the past but with a twist.
