At the Movies (1984)

Season 3, Episode

STARMAN, David Lynch's DUNE and MASS APPEAL and RUNAWAY. This is a rather interesting episode since it contains three sci-fi episodes and of course the big one being DUNE. Both critics hated the film with a passion so they'd revisit it a few episodes later when they did their Stinkers of 1984. FOr the most part this is another entertaining episode that manages to have four very good reviews, some nice discussions and a lot of entertainment. The highlight was probably their praise for John Carpenter's STARMAN, which wasn't well received by movie fans at the time of its release. Too bad they didn't listen to the critics.
