I liked the stage like setting that was used as part of this film and I could almost even cope with the Midsomer Night's Dream ethereal and dream like moments, but in general the whole film did feel a bit too trippy, like something that Derek Jarman might have made and his success rate on my filmic educational journey has been very minimal. There was also a strange Mediterranean cinema element to it, as if it might have been made in Spain rather than Wales.
In fact there was a lot of weird imagery, with not all of it making sense or being relevant as far as I could see. Perhaps there was more content or a larger story that might have explained the other random people involved and some of the history of this boys life.
Also, I assumed that pissing was the new thing to be in films, as this was the second in a small collection of short films to feature it prominently.
It's really hard to fill a review for a short film with 600 characters as required by IMDB, 300 would be pushing it.
